Yeah. I’ve avoided story spoilers so far. Not that Pokémon games have super interesting and deep stories, but I still like that sort of discovery/experience.

 

I was wondering if the Pokémon center was doing anything special for the release, not really

 

Are you saying there are more differences beyond this list? Also looks like there are 3 different gyms, not just 1.

 

I think that I’m going to finally make my pre order today. I’m leaning toward Shield, but let’s make some agreements to trade across game exclusives. I need me some SirFetchd from Sword.

 

The other thing is, even if we can trade I don't want to depend on someone else to find me a 100IV klobbopus haha

 

I don't think Clobbopus is going to be a version exclusive.

 

I hope not, just giving an example. I hope that list is it, unless there's some new ones we haven't seen.

 

So there’s a streamer.

exp share is predictably broken. Streamer hasn’t grinded at all and is avoiding a good number of trainers and most of their teams is a good 2 levels above trainers inside a mine and one shotting everything. Bede’s teams levels are even lower than the trainers in the mine. Streamer also has 10 XL EXP candies. Seems like levelling up will be extremely easy



oh noooo it’s the same as sun/moon with regards to cutscene frequency too. Fuck

streamer is now 7+ levels ahead of trainers with his whole party before the first gym. Pretty much only battling some trainers

 

So I think this is the leaked list. The IGN list doesn’t have any of the leaked Pokémon on it.

Apparently Applin is essentially the Magikarp equivalent of this generation. Only learns Astonish and Withdraw until you evolve it.

 

I'm really excited that Corsola is getting not only a regional form but also an evolution. My pointy boi has been left out since gen 2.

It's definitely intentional that Corsola's Galarian form is white and ghost type to represent bleached coral reefs, right?

So from looking at the dex leaks, I'm seeing both the new regional evolutions and old evolutions represented there in lines with galatian forms. I'm guessing that means both forms will be available in the game somehow, like how Alolan forms could be obtained in Let's Go? If so thats rad!

 

Why's it taken so long for Corsola to get an evolution when it should have had one in the first place

 

Maybe they should give corsola and evolution too, you know, since toxapex are supposedly its rival.

 

Yeah. For some reason regional forms fall under the same dex entry as the original form. Which can be confusing. And now with Galarian Zigzagoon, which is the “original” Zigzagoon, shouldn’t it now be “Zigzagoon” and the brown one be “Hoennian Zigzagoon”

apparently there’s no victory road, you just finish the 8th gym and go down a straight route

 

I guess that partially speaks to the lack of Pokémon, that there isn't one.

 

I don’t think the lack of Pokémon has anything to do with it. Multiple gens had less than half the Pokédex of Galar and still had victory roads.

 

Maybe but they did constantly talk about how they didn't have enough time to put in all the stuff they wanted to so maybe losing victory rd was part of that same process

 

Endgame spoiler

E4 is replaced by a “gauntlet” tournament against the gym leaders. There is apparently auto healing after every match (not 100% sure it’s after every match but I think it is) and the levels are lower than the 8th gym leaders Pokémon


The dragon gym leader one has one dragon on his team. There are 4 pseudo legendary dragon lines in the game and the only dragon he has is Flygon...
