I switched in Sableye, dropped a Will O-Wisp and mega evolved. The other guy tried a Close Combat and left when it didn’t affect me. I’m not even good at battling anymore but cmon man!!!

 

There are a lot of terrible players out there

I believe it has now been confirmed by a leaker that Flapple/ Appletun is a split evo. The sweet apple causes Applin to evolve into Appletun, no word on Flapple yet. Big news for my team.

 

I can't remember every Pokémons weakness and definitely lose because of it

 

Yeah I’m here too. I remember the vast majority up to gen 7. Then I lose it. Fought a Bruxish earlier and had no clue what I was up against. Didn’t know it was Psychic.

 

The sort of player I think of as terrible are the sort that only know a handle of Pokémon(ie the ones popular in OU) and the throw a tantrum when you use a Pokémon they don't know and they call it cheating

 

This is why every time I sit down to play a Pokemon game I have my Pokedex app open to check each opponent's typing. My memory is garbage, and I always have to check the 'dex, Ash style.

Last time I played comp a lot was back in gen 5, I usually played UU cause I couldn’t let go of Umbreon I loved it so much.

 

Umbreon is underrated

 

Wish/Curse/Baton Pass Umbreon was so fun

 

Wish/toxic/protect/Foul play is the one

 

Fair. When I was super into competitive play my friends and I LOVED baton pass teams I swear it was all we played

 

Baton pass is banned on showdown this gen

 

Oh wow really?? That’s nuts hahah it’s been so long since I’ve played. I get why everyone’s upset about the lack of Pokémon from previous gens, but the fact that I get to walk in to an entirely new competitive scene makes me happy

 

Probably because of the z-moves that increase every stat
