To be honest I'm married and my wife gets embarrassed when I wear Pokemon stuff.


I still wear it, but it doesn't make her happy.

 

My wife has more Pokemon stuff than me

 

I'm waiting to find a guy who doesn't find it weird how much I love Pokémon

my fiancee encourages me to let my nerd flag fly but really it just comes down to a lot of licensed tees/merch look like shit and the stuff that doesn't is usually a collab with a hypebeast streetwear line or something and they want 60 bucks for a polo and i ain't biting

that said there is Pokemon, Harry Potter, and DBZ shit all over the apartment itself

 

also im so fuckin excited for these games. took the release day off and Monday of that week is Veteran's Day so i have a three day week with a shit ton of Pokemoning at the end and im honestly looking forward to it as much as i was going on vacation this summer lol

 

Looking at the new Pokémon, I think I’m most to excited to see the final evos for Rolycoly, Yamper, and Sobble.

 

If rolycoly does evolve, I'm calling that it probably becomes rock/fire, which I am definitely excited for.

 

Also my girlfriend likes Pokemon but only ever played the first gen, so she isn't up to speed with newer gens yet, but I am slowly beginning to introduce her to them. I have been showing her upcoming stuff about gen 8 and she is pretty hype (except that she doesn't like Galarian Ponyta, the original fire-type Ponyta is much more her thing)

 

Yeah. I’m guessing it’ll have one or two evolutions.

Yamper evolves once
Wooloo evolves once
Corviknight has two preevolutions
Polteagiest has one preevolution
Alcreamie is standalone
Dreadnaw is standalone
Duraludon has two preevolutions
Impidimp evolves once
Cramorant is standalone (as is the fish Pokémon in its mouth)
Morpeko is standalone

 

I don't see yamper evolving

 

Games are available for preload in Japan and Europe. I bet we get a lot of info soon.

But all the data is there.. why would they do that?

 

People get pissy if they can't access the game at midnight on release day. I'm not sure how accessible the files are right from the get go though. I'd imagine there is some sort of protection. Just a matter of time before that wall falls.

 

I'm almost sure Gamestop will allow you to pick up the game at 9pm on the 14th if you preorder with them. Don't @ me tho

 

Do you think Duraludon might be part of the pseudo-legendary dragons for this game? I dunno personally. I think it might be a regular mon and the pseudo-legendaries might not be revealed yet.

Also hoping that we get more fossil pokemon this gen. I've always enjoyed the concept of fossil pokemon, and there are plenty of ancient extinct creatures left to base designs on.

 

I'm hoping the pseudos aren't dragons.

 

Yeah the last time we got a pseudo line that wasn't part dragon was gen 3 so while that would be cool, i'm not holding my breath for it haha.

 

I just want cool designs, more breaking from the patterns of lines would be great, we should have some weak dragons.

I would really love this franchise to make some bold choices but I don't have a ton of hope in that.

 

Yeah. I’m assuming it’s the pseudo. Mostly because of its tie in with Tyranitar. But I could also see it being a single.

I have to re-evaluate my teams coverage before taking on the league. But I think he’s set.

 

This. I do have a Vans x Nintendo backpack that I use.

 

Do you use any creative sets during play throughs? I feel like I typically just focus on attacking coverage and maybe some status conditions here and there. I don’t usually mess with other sets unless I’m playing in Showdown.
