Serebii confirmed that like 16 more old pokemon are returning via the new ad. This includes Torkoal and Drapion and I'm hype!

 

The best part was doing this in XY and getting something that I couldn’t get until later in the game. Made the game even easier

 

I think I did an XY playthrough with just Wonder Trade Pokemon. After each gym I'd make a WT and add whatever I received to my team, only using Pokemon I got through WT (along with my starter). It was a fun way to play the game.

 

In case anyone needs a refresher of the new Pokémon that have been announced.

 

Japanese previews revealed that there is a person in every Pokémon Center in Sw/Sh that allows you to change nicknames, and delete and relearn moves. Heart Scales are not required.

Since Pokémon games often get released in November, it's kinda a tradition that my dad always gets them for me for my birthday (November 25th) so glad I don't have to buy them lol

going digital on this one (and Animal Crossing) because those are definitely games i’ll be playing a lot and i just don’t want to switch cartridges anymore

There are wild pokemon that will appear in the overworld with yellow auras. Apparently they are pretty rare but they are supposed to have good IVs and egg moves.

I think max raid pokemon also can have similar bonuses, along with hidden abilities.

 

They didn’t go into specifics but apparently they made getting the stats and natures you want easier

So like, what's up with this online stuff? What does it mean? As someone who has not played a Pokémon game since they switched to 3ds, I don't understand it. Do you need to buy an online membership to play it?

 

Basically, there are games that require the membership in order to use any online co-op features.

I just looked at the list and currently Sword and Shield aren’t on it. If it gets added, you would be able to play the game without the membership, but you likely wouldn’t be able to use any of the online aspects of the games like raids or trading over WiFi. I’m assuming you would probably still be able to trade in person with local connection though.

Ohhh, okay. I just read that they are including it but maybe you don't necessarily need it to play? It also doesn't mention specifically what using the membership will be for. It's very confusing.
