They could have just made a friggin Mega Flygon and given it the bug/dragon typing, and it all would have been okay... but noooooooooo, the design was just too difficult. And now that megas have been all but abandoned we'll never get it.
GameFreak must hate their fans so much "FUCK MEGAS" *adds Megas anyway but takes them away later* "BRING BACK MEGAS"
Trapinch line is perfect as is. Dislike people wanting them to be bug. I want all of those fire types. I thought when Scorbunny was announced it would make a perfect Fire/Electric Pokemon based off Duracell bunnies.
With so much of the mechanic additions like new evolutions or megas or new forms or z moves, they come down to execution. I’m not sure I love the idea of mega’s, but some of them are really cool and brought some good Pokémon into viability in the midst of power creep. That said, some of the designs are real bad and a bummer to exist. And some are good designs that could have just been regular evolutions. related, I hate designs that are just loaded with like spikes and accessories. See mega aerodactyl, mega garchomp, Alolan golem, etc. I want simple designs and monster based starters instead of humanoids!
I like most of them Don't really like either charizards, blastoise or alakazam but that's it I LOVE Mawile, Gardevoir, Altaria and Diancie Just realised all the ones I love are fairy lol
Mega Kangaskhan I think made the concept make the most sense to me. Minimal design change, but a one time upgrade in form paired with boosted stats and a related ability. It’s a fun idea that made the Pokémon better, and made sense as a form change as opposed to just another evolution. Can’t say that about many others, but Mega Slowbro is probably my personal favorite.
How'd it take Slowbro so long to realise that going inside the shell would increase his defense though
