It typically doesn't but we also have to consider that so much of the current competitive meta may not be available in these games so could shift tremendously Also the most recent competitive meta was dreadful
Galar Region Pokédex - Pokémon Sword & Shield Can't say I'm surprised, but it's lacking in gen 6 and 7 so far
I have a feeling we see some huge changes in the meta next year. I'm really curious to see which legendaries are available in S&S. Wiping them out of the games is going to change the meta a ton. I'd love for them to go to some type of "1 legendary" rule or something. Its really the biggest place for improvement. I also see Weezing's ability as being a game changer. We'll see if its stats/movepool make it viable at all.
So this was posted on reddit the other day, and to me, it looks pretty even across the board so far. this was added at the end of the post. --Jangmo-o line is confirmed --Snorunt and Glalie are confirmed --Shuckle, Porygon, Klink, Klang, and Klinklang have all been pictured in official images, but are not confirmed to be obtainable *Zigzagoon, Linoone, and Weezing are only confirmed to appear through regional variants *Remoraid is needed to evolve Mantyke into Mantine, but has not been seen in official footage
They REALLY need to implement a 1 legendary rule. Allowing not only multiple legendaries but TWO restricteds was absurdly boring
Getting rid of megas probably takes Groudon and Ray out of the mix. (which is a bummer since I just caught shiny Groudon) Kyogre could still get play. I think if they leave the djinns out, it'd make a big difference for the comp scene. I'm just really not sure who they include. I could see Mewtwo getting a rub since Let's Go is only a year old. We already know Mew is in.
Rayquaza is probably still somewhat viable without Mega I'd think? But yeah Groudon would be out for sure. Hopefully all 3 are just omitted but for some reason I don't think they will be. I feel that though I just hyper trained my shiny Xerneas
The fact it isn't fairy is proof that people at that company have no idea what they are doing. It's upsetting that they literally set themselves up in the best way to have a super cool fairy type that would be well loved by fans, but somehow looked at it and went "what type do you think that should be?" and took a hard left in the wrong direction.
I agree that it should be fairy (or fire/fairy!) but this feels like a massive stretch especially considering the much more obvious proof that people in the company have no idea what they're doing compared to this
Yeah, that's true. I think more than anything I want a fire/fairy type because it's a unique typing we haven't seen before. I love when we get new typing combinations.
4x weakness to Rock, 2x Weakness to Water, Ground, and Fighting attacks Only resistances to Ice, Bug and Grass. Lmao should be a tombstone pokemon
this ponyta being psychic is really not that big a leap tbh. gamefreak does a lot of stupid things but this is really such a nonissue im baffled people are taking it this hard.
