I’m going to post the results of the first round of voting tomorrow along with the second round matchups. Anyone else who wants to vote who hasn’t already should get them in soon.
im not super familiar with the coro coro release date cycle but according to amazon japan the latest issue is already on sale and has been since the 10th. i think there was a holiday in japan sometime this month because the release schedule for lots of other manga magazines has also been weird this month, so it wouldnt surprise me if corocoro came out early. also has anything been revealed through corocoro this gen? all the reveals i remember are directly from nitnendo. could they be moving away from the magazine as the source of news?
Everything in CoroCoro fit this gen was announced by Pokémon like a week or two prior. They seem to be super tight lipped about new info and are controlling the news cycles. (Except The Ben Affleck leak).
Corocoro usually hits on the 14th or 15th of every month. If there were any news we def would have seen it.
I got some good predictions early, but like the last thirty turns of this were still with a razor thin margin of error that I don't know how I pulled off: [Gen 7] OU replay: HailHOUSE vs. Auburn Hills - Pokémon Showdown
By today I mean tomorrow. The beginning of the school year at work has been much busier than I anticipated
Top 10 Pokemon - Round Two! Directions: Choose the winner between each Pokemon paired up. To vote you can either quote me a choose your reply or just type out your choices in this thread and I'll go through and count them up. *There are 80 Pokemon split into four brackets: Ash, Brock, Misty, and Oak. This round will narrow the amount to 40, the round after that will narrow the amount to 20, and the round after that will narrow the amount to 10. At 10, we'll cast our final votes to create a top 10. I wrote out each Pokemon on slips of paper and randomly picked each out of a bag. I promise I didn't re-draw anything (which is why we have some pretty tough mach-ups such as Lucario v Luxray). **There were a few ties last round. In each case, I referred to the original Google form that people used to nominate Pokemon. In every occasion but one I broke the tie by choosing the Pokemon that had more nominations. ***I needed to add two extra Pokemon to the field of 78 winners to bring it to an easy 80. I decided to add three Pokemon from the Nihilego, Necrozma, Primarina, and Tapu Koko (Necroza being the only one not added) because Nihilego and Tapu Koko finished in 2nd with 7 votes each, and 7 would be enough to advance from most other groups. I gave the final spot to Duskull because it also came in 3rd in its group with 7 votes. Vileplume also had 7 votes and finished 3rd, but we already had so many Gen 1 Pokemon I decided to go with Duskull instead. Ash Bracket 1. Phantump v Gardevior 2. Snivey v Eevee 3. Ampharos v Tyranitar was the one time I was really tempted to do a do-over. Ampharos is probably my favorite, and it didn’t make me happy to see that it has such a tough matchup. I think in the first round no one received more votes than Tyranitar.

Espeon, Umbreon, Vulpix are all one seed caliber too, Ninetails probably a two or three seed, just can’t hang with the matchup
