What the fuck. How could they let this happen? They literally remade several games in order to ensure continuity, and now they do this.

 

Honestly I forgot about that part and yea that is really shitty. Like that still doesn't SUPER affect me personally but that objectively sucks for a ton of people.

I actually completely forgot they said it's one way for everything except Sw/Sh. That makes it so much worse than it already was haha.

Nah I can still bring Pokemon from XY/ORAS back to XY/ORAS without having to worry about it being locked in because I'm not transferring the Pokemon to Gen 7.

 

right but in all past instances you've been able to play with the transferred Pokemon after the transfer lol. an uninformed/casual player could transfer that shiny something they've had since gen three and then its trapped until an unknown future release

 

idk Nintendo is patching in multiplayer with friends into Mario Maker 2 after much less uproar, we will see if Game Freak chooses to pivot (they wont)

Given that they're calling this a change in game format I wonder if all the Sw/Sh Pokemon will even be able to be brought into Gen 9, I'd think not if they're sticking to their guns on this

There's already been 150+ confirmed(based off the ones shown and evolution lines) so idk

Could be 300 old Pokémon could be 600 lol

 

I meant 250 not counting evolution lines that you can’t catch in the wild.

 

i didnt see this as a big issue at first because i assummed all pokemon would eventually be available but it would take some time, and im okay with that. but masuda saying that nothing has been decided about that is total bs and massive damper on this gen if true.
