Looking through the dexes I think Gen 3 might be my favorite and Gen 7 is my least.

 

Gen 7 is definitely my least favorite, in Pokémon designs and overall games.

Item based stuff isn’t necessarily bad. I love the concept of playing through a game and picking up poke balls in the overworld to get items, then suddenly one of those items is a wild Pokémon. That’s fun.

Can we all agree that the best games are Soul Silver & Heart Gold? Those games were near perfection when it comes to Pokémon.

Definitely. My favorite handheld Pokemon game by far, followed by Let's Go Pikachu for the nostalgia.

I also love Crystal just because I owned it as a kid and Suicune is the shit. Literally the same game as Gold and Silver if I'm remembering correctly?

 

Yeah. The only difference I remember is that in Crystal you can walk up to Suicune instead of randomly finding it in the wild.

 

Ahh okay I forgot it was just a random encounter in the other two games. I had Gold and Crystal and have definitely merged the two in my head lol

I agree with you 1000%. Whenever I feel like doing a replay of a Pokémon game I’ll always reach for X/Y.

 

Back in my day, there was only Gen 1 and we sat there and liked our snakes, rats, insects, and piles of eggs!!!
