Oh god I missed that the device in this game is a Rotom phone I was so tired of hearing my Rotom Dex talk dammit
when i first saw it, it screamed the rumored "armored form" to me but i feel they would've announced it as such
Typings for the new pokes (minus legendaries) and a bit more info on wild encounters are on the Pokemon site.
Real curious to know the kegendary’s typing, guessing steel is involved but I doubt they’re pure steel.
Dynamax feels like a cross between mega-evolution and Z-moves. Increased stats and move power, but limited to one Pokemon for 3 moves.. I'm pretty indifferent about it now.
Corviknight - Flying/ Steel (surprised it's not flying/dark) Gossfleur - Grass Eldegoss - Grass Wooloo - Normal Drednaw - Water/ Rock I may not pick Sobble now, since I want a Drednaw so much.
My immediate reactions: - I need Corviknight on my team ASAP. Shout out to whomever called it the emo bird. - Since the video said that Corviknight will fly players to anywhere on the map they've been to before I'm going to take that as confirmation that ride Pokemon are returning and we won't have HMs. I hope that's the case. - I'm not big on Dynamaxing, but I'll probably come around on it. My immediate thought was "HEY, THAT'S NOT REALISTIC!" But now I'm remembering that this is a video game series based on glorified dog fighting, and maybe I shouldn't judge things so harshly. - I'm so happy that we'll still have Pokemon appear in the overworld. - FINALLY WE CAN CONTROL THE CAMERA! - I think that Sword is going to largely outsell Shield. Not all, but most people are going to choose the attacking legendary over the defensive legendary. That being said, I'll probably reserve my choice for when we find out what the game exclusives are.
I'm gonna guess that not all Pokémon can be Dynamaxed and it'll be limited to a certain amount in different games. No way they'll do that for every one available in game right? It'll be like Mega Evolution in that way.
I'm pretty sure they explicitly said in the Direct that not all Pokémon can be dynamaxed Also is it just me or is it kind of weird that there has never been a Pokémon called "Dynamax" lol seems like a layup name for a t-rex-looking Pokémon
Drednaw looks awesome, but based on the landscape of the Galar region I think Grass Pokemon are going to be pretty prevalent, and Water/Rock typing will get wrecked by Grass. Hopefully I'm wrong about that though.
