I was hanging out with some extended family at christmas and a kid said that the first pokemon game was black and white lil shit never saw the extensive history lesson coming
VERY hyped for these. Getting Pokémon Shield, picking Scorbunny as starter because it's a personal tradition to always choose the fire starter on my first run through. Now to start saving for a Switch.
Yeah. I'm not committing to either version or a starter until I see final forms and a Pokedex. I'm hoping for a ton of new mons.
one thing i think this game could incorporate from Pokémon Go to great success is a questing system in the form of something similar to field research. say you get assigned a quest of catch 15 Vulpix or something, and the reward is an encounter with a Vulpix with a high IV floor or an optimal nature, etc. i think that would be great postgame content for competitive players. in general it’s just a little nuts that there isn’t really a quest system at all yet but that speaks to how solid the core gameplay is
It would be cool to see some Western RPG-style questing mechanics to be introduced into Pokémon. I wouldn't discount it happening here either, especially because Nintendo has seemed to be making a conscious effort to branch out and experiment with its core franchises recently (i.e. Breath of the Wild).
