Was the second Cyber Sleuth game more of the same? I enjoyed the first one to play the second when it is discounted.
It is nothing like Persona. If Persona is S tier JRPG, Cyber Sleuth is C tier. The dialogue is atrocious. The story is laughable. The characters are annoying. The fetch quests are stupid. There are certain times when they just don't direct you toward your next goal at all (even if you go to the person who is supposed to help you if you forget where to go, she can just be really broad like "talk to Arata" but doesn't fucking tell you where he is) and a bunch of other drawbacks. The ONLY good thing I can think about the game is the amount of Digimon they have and how they do digivoling. Also, the second game is just like the first one, but with more Digimon.
I thought it was just me that found it directionless at times. I was so confused A LOT. I had to look up guides to get through chunks of the game.
I bought it for like £4 a few months ago so I'll still give it a go at some point, but I'm definitely not expecting much after this description lol
The biggest problem is that people, the fans of Digimon, accept this level of quality because all the other games have been flat out terrible. Just because it's the best of the bad doesn't make it good, you know? I think the saddest part is that they clearly have a dedicated community and they have the right elements to make a good game, but they really don't know how to execute it well which is a damn shame because I have a special fondness for the franchise.
Only if I can have social links with Misty, May, Dawn, Mallow, and Lillie and then have a scene with them where it hints that I fuck them but doesn't explicitly say or show it.
I think it was as good as a Digimon console game can be. I don’t think Digimon itself can be great outside of the digivice games. The concept is hard to master on console gaming but I felt like it was worth the money I spent.
...but the concept isn't hard on console. They've proven way back with Digimon World 1-3 that they aren't impossible to do. It's a perfect game world. It's like mashing Pokemon and .//hack together. They just don't want to hand it to a bigger team/do anything special with it.
No. It sucks. Unless your bar for quality is really low. Which for that franchise wouldn't surprise me.
really surprised at how much im enjoying pokemon quest, fun ephemeral little game that i dont have to pay to much attention to to enjoy.
I used to play the shit out of Digimon world on PS1. Any of the games since then worth playing? I think I briefly played one of the DS world games
