Maybe in the sense that Pikachu/Eevee would not be introducing any new mechanics, so no new toys for the competitive people to play with. I wish they would at least revamp some stats/abilities though.
I mean, it sounds like the core mechanic of catching/battling is much different. No wild Pokémon battles probably means that when you find a wild Pokémon, your only option is to catch it. Similar to Go. And then you battle them against trainers only.
you not liking it doesn’t make it a blunder. this is a spin off like all the other spin offs, it just has more main series in its DNA than most. i’m fine with one of these every other year alternating with main series
my gf last played Yellow, she’s not much of a gamer. i showed her the trailer and she said “Switch is a super priority now”. literally hasn’t touched a Pokemon game in prob 20 years and it just sold her a system. i can’t wait to play it co-op with her and even my nephew.
I'm not fine with them being sellouts just to give Niantic more money and more reason not to improve their game and give the players content they promised months and months ago like trading and battling with your friends. It's a cheap excuse for a game.
“sellouts” they’re literally a business. also give me a way to enable trading in PoGo that doesn’t turn it into a spoofer playground
Whatever. A sellout is defined as "a betrayal of one's principles for reasons of expedience." They didn't want to to give us a quality game which they promised, they pushed it back to 2019 and are funneling this into our kids lives just to make a quick buck. Fuck em.
you sure seem to think your definition of quality is absolute. maybe don’t take one game not being directly catered to your tastes so personally.
Did I miss anything? Last time I checked Gamefreak was actually cool with micros. I remembered in Pokemon Picross it was free to start, but then you can buy some picrites using actual money. But if you managed to buy a total of 35USD worth of picrites, then you can now get them for free. So it's like a 35USD game. Or was I misremembering it?
i sure hope they don’t head that direction for a console title. the gameplay seems too simplistic to really offer a way to monetize it. i think backlash would be very severe
ive put $50 or so into PoGo since launch and don’t regret it at all. it’s kept me so active in times i had no other reason to be active. micros aren’t inherently evil, just 99% of the time.
You're clearly ignorant about me and my personal tastes. Maybe don't be a person who welcomes things with open arms just because you have brand loyalty. Oh see what I did? I did the same as you. I made a giant assumption about someone I know nothing about. Have some respect.
lol you’re the one who said it’s “poor quality” after two minutes of promo footage. please break down where i misinterpreted your tantrum.
