If it’s a Yellow remake please let me evolve Pikachu. I wouldn’t mind visiting Kanto in the future or something like that. But this’ll probably be more disappointing than we all built up in our heads.

I'd be down for another Kanto region remake only if it's totally redone and it includes Pokemon from every gen.
seems a little early to me to feel dissapointed about this, we really don't know much about it. there are a couple of things that could make this wirthwhile (assuming they are kanto remakes) -significant graphics update not some slight upgrade from usum -add johto, we all know it's right there -keep the sevii islands -have some decent postgame -let me evolve the fucking pikachu then again gf has been releasing noticeably rushed games the past few years so idk if to trust them much. im approaching this with a healthy dose of skepticism but am still fairly excited to see what they have in store.
but then you're walling off new customers. the family out shopping for Christmas then have to pay $80-100 to get the newest Pokemon game.
it also cuts off any hope at an upgraded engine between installments, guarantees players are able to steamroll through it with their high level parties, etc. idk if it works for Pokemon.
My favourite thing about Pokémon has always been exploring new places with new Pokémon. Going through Kanto again with Pikachu doesn't really interest me. If the game looks like Breath of the Wild I'm sure I'll play it but I'm not expecting that. Either way I hope we get a new Pokémon game on Switch eventually.
If I can't transfer my old pokes, I'm gonna be pissed. I have some faves from my first Sapphire game that I want to keep going.
this is re: the "leaked screenshot" that could be fake but i'm spoiler tagging it to be safe looks exactly like US/UM, only allowing for more models on screen (Pokemon visible in water etc). prob a higher res version of it, but the perspective and art style are identical to my eye.

Why don't they just do a new story in the OG areas? I feel like the original map is pretty iconic, would be cool to travel around an updated/expanded version of that.
