Having a poison or steel type on your team in this gen looks a must. There are so many fairies. Not that I'm complaining, because I really like that type. However, if each island guardian is part fairy type I'll need someone good to knock them out.
ive done that in a few games and will probably do so in these eventually but on my first run i wanna use a variety of mons
I love Ghost types so I'm really torn between Water and Grass...I don't think I've picked a fire starter since Gen 1. I did pick Cyndaquil for my first Gen 2 playthrough but I've picked Totodile literally every other time since then so I'm not counting that.
I hope, if there is an Elite Four, they bring back medals. I used to love going into the E4 with a team full of fire or steel types and going to town.
I've been somewhat diverse with my starter choices over the years. Squirtle Cyndaquil Mudkip Piplup Snivy Fennekin Poplio
Squirtle Chikorita Torchic Piplup Oshawott Fennekin Rowlet those are my favorites and the ones i use most, but ive played with every starter at least once
Mudkip was always my favorite starter.. but I think that Popplio is going to be my new favorite for sure
Charmander Totodile Mudkip Turtwig Snivy Froakie Not sure for Gen 7 yet but I think I'm leaving Poplio
Always went water until Fennekin. Don't know why. I think the water starter is my least favorite right now but I'll probably still end up there.
There are some shitty things about it though. -You lose Protean -You need to knock out another Poke first
Yeah but battle bond increases the power of Water Shuriken(which is now a special move too) and it has 153 base special attack. That's ridiculous.
Side note, my Fire Emblem limited edition N3DS broke (black screen of death) so I sent it in for repair, and they told me they can't replace it with the same one and I have to choose between black or red. A little heart broken, and hoping I'll at least have the new one by the time S&M come out
Squirtle Totodile Mudkip Piplup Snivy Froakie Poplio I always pick water but I haaaaated Oshawott. :P
I love how the region's turning out; a little iffy on its pokedex but still a lot of gems, like always.
