Figured I'd start this thread out since the one on AP would usually get pretty busy once we started getting details for new games. While I'm sure the focus will be on main series games, talk of the anime, merchandise, spinoff games, etc. are totally welcome.

Game Freak seem a lot more willing to try different things nowadays, so I'm pretty excited to see what kind of changes we'll see in Sun/Moon

 

I want to bring out my GBA and play some Ruby.

This game is going to be the thing that finally makes me invest in a 3DS.

I am also anticipating Pokemon GO with every fiber of my soul.

 

I was the Pokemon trading card champion of my neighborhood about 16 years ago. I was unstoppable.

I love the hell out of the original blue/red games but haven't been able to check out the newer generations. Perhaps Sun/Moon will be the one to pull me back in.

 

Honestly, X/Y are the way to go. Definitely a great way to get yourself ready for the new stuff.

B/W are probably the best jump on point for people who have been out for a while. Basically a reboot. Absolutely loved it. Not sure a lot of people want to downgrade with the graphics at this point though.

 

i started with x/y. it's amazing.

i also recently got back into the TCG. i mainly play online tho.

 

Hmmm... it seems a 3DS purchase may be in my future.

Emolga. Got a little plush and take way too many selfies with it. Love the little guy.

 

OMG YES X 10000. I love Emolga incredibly. Emolga and Glaecon are my top 2. I need an Emolga plush so bad....

 

haven't gotten to play x or y yet really want a 3ds so I can play that and moon/sun

Playing TCG online. I got 3 EX cards in 2 packs in 1 day. And one of them is Emolga!

buying a 3ds and omega ruby very very soon! havent played a pokemon game in forever

 

Just bought a 2DS so I could finally play the new games. Plan on getting Y soon, and then Omega Ruby. Should be caught up by this fall for Sun/Moon.

Good Deal. I got mine from Target.com. It was the red one bundled with Yo-Kai Watch for $79.99. So essentially almost $45 for the system itself!
