Someone at one of the gyms in the city today had Kangaskhan, which probably confirms its availability somehow in North America. There's a chance they were tourist but I'm gonna take it the other way.

Just missed my bus and got soaking wet to catch an electabuzz. First new thing I've gotten in over a week. Worth it.

There just hasn't been a single confirmed case of it happening legitimately. You can search all around The Silph Road on reddit for more info

 

I'm expecting to see at least one region exclusive in a gym soon. I live close to Mizzou's campus and with students coming back, someone from another continent MUST be going to school here.

 

Wow right as I'm starting to get a little bored with this game, I saw and caught my very first Raichu picking up a prescription at Rite Aid :P dunno how rare they are for others but I'm pumped. Now if only I could get a Pikachu..

 

Had my best day of playing in a while. Finally found Snorlax and Porygon and both caught me completely off guard. Finally came across another (2) Electabuzz and got to replace my 26CP one with a 1332CP.

My 10k egg game is still shit though. Hatched two today and got Pinsir and Hitmonchan, both among the most easy to find 10k Pokes in my area. That makes 5 10k eggs and not one has given me something I haven't seen in the wild.

 

Porygon just hatched for me which surprised me. Almost all my eggs lately have been Paras haha. Definitely welcoming the Porygon though

 

Hatched a dope Clefairy today, and evolved a Growlithe into Arcanine finally.

 

Ugh I hate Bulldoze :( I have an Arcanine that has zero fire moves and it shouldn't bug me but it does haha. Those are both great though, especially the CP on that Arcanine, congrats

 

Saw two different gyms last night that had a >2700CP Dragonite. Shit.

 

Thanks man. Yea I'm disappointed in the payoff for Arcanine's moves. Should have Flamethrower at least for the special move. Oh well.

Hatched two more eggs yesterday: a Paras and a Weedle. That means the last nine in a row have been duds :/ But on the upside, I caught three Bulbasaurs yesterday so that's kinda makes up for it.

 

At this point I've held the same gym like 40 minutes away from me for a week and a half and i wonder if anyone will overtake it

 

i haven't encountered a rare pokemon in the wild in weeks. kind of frustrating...

well, yeah, but i literally walk around with this game around various places in my city for 2 hours a day. i'm level 23 now and just feel like the game has turned into grinding pidgeys and popping lucky eggs once a week.

 

I'm not really sure why, but for the entire stretch of my road kind of out in the woods, there are 0 Pokemon, but then when you get right to my neighbor's driveway, I can almost always hit something good. I've caught random things like a Kadabra, Tentacruel, Ghastlies, and pretty much enough Clefairies to evolve one right there. Sometimes, if I just get home and walk to the end of my driveway, a burst of like three Pokemon will pop up (usually never Pidgeys and Rattatas, surprisingly). Always an Eevee, Clefairy and something else. Just weird because it's the only reliable spot I've found, but it's miles away from any other spot you can catch anything else.

 

ya, must be a random spawn point. i don't live near anything like that haha. i have a loop with 3 pokestops by my house. probably .5 mile and i rarely ever encounter anything on it

 

Have you searched reddit or looked at poke radar to get a sense of where some hot spots near you would be?

 

i gave up on tracking after pokevision got killed. i'll have to check out pokeradar. doesn't seem to be loading for me though. is it just crowd based tracking?
