I just had two Rocket pokestops come up near my house, so here are my takeaways:

- both Rocket Grunts had one shadow Charmander and two shadow Charmeleons. Each shadow Pokemon's CP level was in the 6000s.

- the game would only let me select Great League Pokemon for the battles.

- I almost lost one of the battles when I did not have a Pokemon that was super effective against the opponent. When I did the battle was pretty easy.

- One of the Rocket battles was at a sponsored Starbucks Pokestop, so that answers my previous question.

- Catching the shadow Pokemon after is very similar to catching a Pokemon after a raid. You can only use the Premier Balls, the amount you receive depends on how many Pokemon you have left and your achievements in previous Rocket battles.

- Your appraisal of a shadow Pokemon stays the same after you purify it. Make sure you appraise a shadow Pokemon before you commit to spending the candies/stardust to purify it.

 

the appraisal moves up two points in each stat when you purify, i just did one to test

 

Ahh, that's good to know. My 0 star Charmander stayed a 0 star once I purified it, so I figured it didn't change. Looks like I didn't look closely enough.

 

also looks like reddit solved the great league problem

Yeah this challenge is tough if you live in a more rural area. I haven’t seen a single one and I would say I see a pretty fair amount of stops for where I live

 

Apparently shiny Koffing and Ekans are now live.

 

I was just thinking about how much I want a shiny Ekans. Its so cute. I think I have two in Let's Go and I love them dearly.

Yep. There are reports of Sneasel too. Unfortunately, it looks like the spawns were turned off. I watched 3 Ekans turn into standard garbage spawns. Twitter and Reddit are reporting it too.

I wonder if all of the typical Team Rocket Pokemon just received shinies. That would include Meowth as well.

 

Anyone else noticing the abundance of new pokestops? I have a new gym and like 4 new stops in my neighborhood as of today that were not there yesterday.

 

I don't know if the spawns are working properly for anyone else, but I am literally only seeing weather boosted spawns.

 

yep event spawns already nerfed hard. how do they fuck this up so consistently

Got 10 shadows today. All garbage starters, but I was able to already complete the special research.

On a side note, I really really like getting 500 stardust for each team rocket battle

 

Did two Rocket battles this evening. Got a Dratini and Golbat. The Dratini stop kicked my daughter out mid-battle and wouldn't let her back in.
