i think growth is relatively consistent, though i havent used much of my stardust.

 

How much XP for hatching an egg?

 

caught a slowpoke before work this morning!!! I'm halfway to level 23 though & my pokedex is still only 78/78

 

500 base xp. If it's a new pokemon, you get another 500 bringing it to 1,000.

 

I got a Chansey and Electabuzz, still only want a Vulpix but hatched another Ekans yesterday

 

Just noticed that there's a level 10 gym near where I work that's been held since yesterday. I haven't seen a gym that high before

 

i was in a level 7 gym last night at 930 and this morning it was over

 

This game is a mess lol

My problem isn't even with how often they break out. Now it's just like they wait for me to throw the ball for them to swat it away. I end up wasting 5 balls trying to even hit them, and THEN they break out and run away. I can even sit and wait and they won't move, but the second I let it go they decide to jump lol.

 

Can anyone ELI5 what exactly IV (Individual Value) is and how to determine it?

 

Happens to me all the time and it's annoying as fuck. Like how the hell does it take me 5 pokeballs to get a 50cp Pidgy? You're right, they literally wait for you to throw it to jump or swat it away. I remember last week I was trying to get I think a Bubasaur, I waited 10 seconds and it wasn't doing anything, and the second I throw it, it swatted it away and that was my last pokeball.

 

whats the highest damage move you guys have seen so far? At level 22, 2 of my pokemon have hydro pump which is 90, anyone seen higher?

 

earthquake is 100, i think @brandon_260 has solar beam (?) at 120

 

I have a Magmar with a 100 damage move.

 

Damn! So essentially, that's taking out any pokemon <120hp in one hit in a gym battle?

 

Ryan is right. Two of my Parasects have 120 Solar Beam.

Don't think it's HP, just how powerful. Then it becomes stronger the higher CP.

 

Yeah Solar Beam and Hyper Beam are both 120. Blizzard, Fire Blast, Earthquake, and Thunder all 100. Hydro Pump at 90 because Niantic hates water.

 

I finally evolved to my Victreebell today. Feel like I've been working on it since first week.

 

My Snorlax is only at 638CP because I caught him a while back, but his Hyper Beam is at 120 and his HP is 119. I use him in battles more often than a lot of my Pokemon that have double the CP.

 

I'm four candies away from getting there so I am waiting for an unsuspecting Bellsprout to stroll by so I can trade that loser in.
