Too many Digletts and Sandshrews, not enough shinies

 

scored a diglett and swinub shiny today!

 

got a second shiny Diglett so this has been a crazy 24 hours and change

 

Found a shiny Sandshrew and the Lapras task today. Unfortunately, Instinct (my team) has taken over every gym within 2 miles of the task, so I can't battle a gym to complete the task...

 

I mean this as nicely as possible...

You people and your shinies can all go to hell.

Then I need to go where you are. Every spawn is like 5 diglett and I still have nothing.

I'm actually going to get to do the legendary dinner hour tonight so I'm pretty stoked. Having my wife come out with me too even though she doesn't play too much to double my chances of getting a shiny Groudon.

 

What is with this lack of items being distributed at gyms and Pokestops? Gyms at which I have gold badges AND a Pokemon inside are only giving me two or three items per spin. Is there something I missed?

 

yeah, this is kind of a nightmare for me. I'm almost out of balls and want to get a damn Azelf.

Got my Latios! Just need Latias now, and hopefully a shiny legendary in the next two months, gonna really try to do a research task every day. Also hatched a shiny Scyther earlier, which makes three shiny hatches in the last two weeks.
