I get that randomness is part of this game but Man it’s frustrating sometimes.

Had something similar to me happen with ho-oh, hit him with 20+ Ultra balls with most being excellent silver pineape curveballs and didn’t get him. Threw one regular poke ball with no curve, no berry or catch designation out of frustration and got him. I can’t help but laugh sometimes but it’s really dumb.

This Lotad event sucks. Every task in my area is make 3 nice in a row and all the weather boosted spawns are normal types with tiny circles. Yeah, no thanks. Did get 4 shiny pink Castform,

 

Ah it hasn't started here yet, definitely gonna get workin' on it in an hour

 

I've got a show in Brooklyn tonight, so I may just head in an hour early really just want another Lotad and Lombre.
