Man I have a ton of Bulbasaur haha. Oh well. I am hoping they will do an event with the Gen III starters because I've hardly seen any.

Or, ya know, Larvitar would be good considering I've walked mine 206km and I'm still like 13 candies away from a Tyranitar.

 

Empire Plaza is great for the events. Will be back there for it. I have a 96% Ivysaur but rarely see Bulbasaur so i'm for it. Wonder what a shiny Venusaur looks like.

 

I was pretty letdown by the next community day. I'll go out and hunt obviously for the chance at a shiny, but I already have 6 Venasaur and a ton of Ivysaur's with great IV's. I guess we can't always get great events like the Dratini event.

Edit: Also, I'll go out simply for the triple stardust. Pop a star piece and rake in the stardust. I got like over 100k stardust during the Dratini event.

 

Trapinch would be cool for a community day. Need that Flygon

 

i think i'll have to do the Plaza this time for sure.

The exclusive move set makes it a little more worth it. Pikachu with surf was a novelty catch I feel, and Draco Meteor is the second best move you can have for Dragonite behind Outrage.

 

i honestly just loved a three hour excuse to stroll around and talk to strangers haha

 

I have one 80% Vibrava, and only 1 candy towards Flygon. A friend in our slack group got a high IV Flygon already and I have no idea how.

 

So shiny Venasaur literally is the color of vomit okay cool

 

the shiny colorways are lame more often than not. for every Charizard there's 10 Venasaurs.

Someone said shiny Dragonite looks like Puff the Magic Dragon and I can't get it out of my head now when I look at it.

Community Day in general isn't really a concept that lends itself to how I enjoy the game, but I quite like that it's exciting for a lot of people

 

I much prefer the special events that last a week or so, but for those three hours it is pretty fun and I try hard lol.

 

i do think that there should always be a static chance of shiny encounter outside of events. make it abysmally low, maybe even lower than the main series titles, but it would go a long way in getting me to the other side of the plaza where that Vulpix is chillin' right now.

 

That is how it is currently I believe. Slack members i've played with have randomly caught shiny Magikarp, Pikachu, Pichu (hatched, very rare), Luvdisc, Sableye, Snorunt, and I think a few others i'm not remembering.

I just came in here to say the same thing, when does this damn event end

 

i think once i finally catch an unown i'm gonna retire this game. i will forever be on the hunt for one until it happens though.
