The max I will keep of anything is 10, including legendaries. Anything over that I think is unnecessary. Everything that’s common or average, I just catch and release (aka send to the Professors haunted house of taxidermy Pokémon) and keep the best one I encounter based on IV’s usually unless the CP is super low.

 

Okay, I think I see where you and I differ. Do you do a mass evolve for commons using a lucky egg? That is what makes it difficult for me I think, should have included that in my post. Otherwise, keeping ten of everything seems like a good strategy for the less common Pokémon.

 

Yes. I do mass evolves with eggs, but I don’t save the Pokémon up for one until I’m actually planning to do one. Usually closer to an event where it will be doubled, or when I’m close to leveling up.

 

But don’t get me wrong, I was walking around with like 14 Suicunes until like 2 weeks ago.

 

Haha yeah like I just checked and I have 14 Snorlax. It’s just so hard to say goodbye!

 

If I had 10 of him I’d keep 10 definitely. I only have I think 4.

 

Playing Gen 3 exclusively from my bedroom. Caught 17 already. And somehow just hatched a perfect IV Smoochum.

 

I got my first Ex Raid invite today.

 

I love the egg event where every new egg you get since the release of the last batch of Pokemon is a gen 3. Especially when I get a 10 km egg since I still need the last evolution of all four gen 3 pokemon that are in them.

 

Just got Mewtwo. So happy.

 

Do you check IV’s? If so what’d yours come out to be?

I have a friend who got a 98% and he used about all of his stardust and candy to max it out.

 

Just requested off for that day and it’s a Saturday and I work in a busy ass grocery store so it works out well. Can’t wait to Pinap every single one (I’m sitting at 52 Pinap’s right now and already have 330 Dratini candies). So ready for this event. Hoping there’s shinies in the mix.

 

Last night when I was leaving work after a late event around 1am a Dragonite boosted from the windy weather spawned and I got it. CP2834, 91% IV's. My second best yet.

 

It's so strange to run an evolved Eevolution in the wild. I can't remember any game when the player can find a wild Vaporeon, Umbreon, etc.

On my way back from the store today I found a wild Flareon with 2400 CP. I was really stoked, but then again I start down this rabbit hole of "How the hell did this Eevee find a Fire Stone in the wild and evolve itself?" Sometimes I take this game too seriously.

 

Well, in Pokemon Go you don't need a stone to evolve them. But if they're going by that logic, then why aren't Umbreon and Espeon available in the wild? Unless they are?

 

I think I've come across 10 or so wild Vaporeons. Never any of the others though.

Sooooo... I was moving backwards?

 

I just got my second EX Raid pass for a gym I haven't been to since the Zapdos raids. Even weirder is that it's for this Saturday, but usually there's around two weeks of time between the time you receive the pass and the time of the raid.

 

I'm seeing online that a TON of people are getting ex raid passes for gyms they haven't been to in months, a few cases of getting passes for somewhere they went to on vaction, haha

 

Yeah a ton of people around here got passes for a ton of different gyms, even in really small towns they went to 1 time months ago.

 

*Grumble grumble* wish that happened to me. I did tons of raids when Zapdos was around. Still no ex raid pass.

But yeah tons of people in my local raid group just got ex raid passes for a gym they didn’t remember ever raiding at.

 

Today is Mewtwo's birthday according to the first Pokemon games. I wonder if the huge batch of invites is related to that?
