it's been pretty random. i've seen him spawn at day and night (never near enough to catch it, check local maps), but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason.

i do know that about a month or so ago an unown spawned in a nice neighborhood in a gated community and people bumrushed the community and were hopping over the gates and fences to get in and find it and the community had the cops called because they didnt know wtf was going on lol

would have loved to see the cops faces when they realized what was happening

 

I'm actually not doing as badly as I thought as far as my Pokedex goes. The only thing that's got me is the regionals and all of the legendaries because my town's raids are basically non-existent.

Most of that stuff I'm close on and can walk in no time. No Mareep however...

 

i still have not even SEEN a dugtrio. from Gen1 besides regionals and mew/two, I'm only missing hitmonlee, dugtrio, and machamp.

 

Mewtwo is apparently an easy catch.

 

beating him is the trick. which is how it should be.

i can take down legendaries with 6-7 people no problem and get 14 bonus balls but then don't catch it.

 

I can't really figure out the best way to get an ex raid pass

 

right now (at least around me) it seems like sponsored locations are having all the ex raids. Starbucks & Sprint Stores have been getting them all. I would try raiding at those areas as much as you can.

I think the sponsored locations will keep being the trend for a while because there is no way for Niantic to patrol what random gyms are in places that are always open to the public. They need to guarantee that the players who get the raid passes can play at that location at that time, so they're using actual businesses so far with constant and consistent hours.

 

I'm in a precarious position because when I get home the raids are done, but if I raid at work and the EX raid is a weekend... i couldnt do that either. Also, i have no idea where sponsored gyms around me are

 

They actually started giving out raid passes today for other unsponsored locations, at least around here.

 

Man, Savannah has a stop every 10 ft but I've still yet to get anything interesting. Just more Venonats.

 

At an Entei raid right now

 

Did not think the east coast would see an Entei raid today. Luckily, someone in our Slack group saw it around 5pm and we all managed to make it to battle. Only 4 of us caught it.

 

I guess that means it's time for me to turn my game on again!

 

Ran a half marathon yesterday and left my app on to hatch some eggs. Felt like I went through a million and the only decent thing was a Mareep from a 2k! Haha

 

Caught Entei this morning!

 

Got my second one this morning as well. He's my favorite of the legendaries so I'm gonna try for a lot of them. Hope my luck keeps up.

 

I'll probaby do a couple more. This one is only 71%

 

Powered up my 89% IV one to 2100CP. Pretty happy about that. What I am not happy with is people posting in our slack group that they're willing to do a raid, everyone gathers for it, then they message something dumb last minute like "Not gonna make it, still at Joanne's Fabrics."

 

Just caught a 93% Entei, 2 for 3 so far. Still finding it incredibly hard to just hit with the ball though.

 

I've done 5. Caught 2. There is 100% some type of error going on with excellent throws. I landed 8 out of 12 excellent throws with golden raspberries and didn't catch one. Some grade A bullllllllllshit.

 

Hatched my third Tyrogue right as I got my 75th candy yesterday, and just hatched another one today. Seems like they definitely raised the likelihood of hatching one.

 

That's good news. I think out of anything regarding this game, I'm MOST surprised about how rare these damn things have been. I mean, I'm a pretty casual player I guess, but I can't believe after playing over a year, I've only ever hatched a single Hitmonlee. Never hatched a Tyrogue, never seen a Hitmonchan or Hitmontop.

It's just odd that they made these guys, of all things, so hard to get.

 

Yeah people I was with kept landing excellent throws and didn’t catch it so you could be on to something. I’m 3 for 4 now somehow, still catching it on like the last ball or second to last.

 

yeah lol same I hatched my first Tyrogue in like May after playing the game since it came out. Never saw any of the evolutions before that or even a hint of any of them on my sightings.

 

Haha same here. Not asking for them to be easy to get or anything, but I don't get why that set of particular Pokémon are so rare in this game. I don't think they've even had an event that made them more common either.

Oh well, I have three incubators right now so maybe I can grab one!
