I just noticed that gyms are taller based on how many Pokemon are in them. That's a nice touch.

 

Haven't done a T-Rex raid in days, seems like they significantly lowered the chances of a tier 4 raid hatching one.

 

So, your ideal scenario is that each of those Pokemon gets knocked out on separate days, right?

 

Yup! I've found that the best thing to do is just go out each day and get into as many gyms as I can. A lot of times you'll get knocked back out after a few minutes so you just gotta get as many as you can and hope for the best. I've gone about five days straight now with 50 coins. Another good strategy is to go out late at night and take gyms, that way you can likely stay in the gym for the 8ish hours it takes to get the 50 coins.

 

Also open the app before midnight because I've gotten 50 coins at 11:55pm and then 50 more just after midnight.

 

Got 3 rare candies from one level 2 raid just now!!! Only 2 candies to go for Ampharos.

Also, are TMs only obtainable on raids level 3 and above?

 

Solid strategies. I have like three gyms that are visible from my house, so it might be good to just hit one or two before I go to bed. It's literally impossible to hold any of them for a single day so I guess there's no real point in trying to take all of them.

It's kind of a weird system, but it seems more enjoyable now and is easier to rack up coins compared to the old way.

 

Hell yeah, baby! Not even mad that the dumb thing has focus blast - only MIltank + Unown left to go!

 

I got my only TM from a level 2 raid.

 

I think I'm gonna use a ton of rare candies to get an Ampharos

 

That's honestly my plan from here on out since I need 98 to get one. And since Tyranitar is a raid boss, I don't have to walk anything else.

 

FYI people on Reddit are confirming that you can hatch a Pichu with Ash's hat on.

 

I got my first event Pikachu this morning. I like this one more than the other two.

 

Raid Boss counters for level 3 and 4 for those who care:

 

So Charizard counters Venusaur, and Venusaur counters Blastoise. That must mean that Blastoise counters....oh, never mind.

 

For someone who may know this better than I do. I just caught a Dratini with a 98% IV. Does that mean he'll get stronger the more I level him up?

 

It will have higher CP at the same level as a Dratini with less IVs.

 

So there's a spoofer in our local Pokémon Go chat on Facebook and he just said he was physically incapable of going to raids and thanking us for not judging him. I never thought about that facet of the game before. Of course by all means, spoof away if you aren't able to play the game in any other fashion, but I wonder how Niantic would feel about that if they were to catch him and he explained why he was spoofing.

Got my tenth raided T-Rex today

 

So i finally got to play the last couple of days and I'm way behind...

If I put my Gyarados in a gym (and he's my only Pokemon occupying a gym) and he's there for almost three days...do I still only get 50 coins? I guess there's not really an incentive to have your guys stay in a gym for a long time anymore right?

 

I caught a Snubble today which was probably the highlight of my last month playing this game....

 

Yeah you'll only get 50 coins. I've started putting 10cp pidgeys in gyms.

 

I've thought about doing that actually. It still has to be beaten like 3 times to be kicked out right? Would have a good laugh if I saw a gym full of 6 trash birds.

Pidgey, Spearow, Hoothoot, Natu, Murcrow, and a Tyranitar.

 

My third Tyranitar which is my first evolved one came out to be CP2742, with an ok move set. Need some machines asap.
