A nest is a place where you can find multiple of the same Pokémon. The nests move around every two weeks, hence the term nest migration. Certain Pokémon don't have nests, a prime example being Dratini although it did have nests when the game first came out.

 

Got my second Tyranitar this morning in a raid.

Rare candies are the best thing to have happened to this game. I'm 8 candies away from Porygon2 and then I'm left with Hitmonchan, Unown, Feraligatr, and the regional ones.

 

It always catches me off guard when people still need Feraligatr. I caught one of those before I ever saw a Totodile.

 

Yeah the migrations affected it big in my area. I was seeing them more than Chikorita or Cyndaquil at the beginning of Gen 2, got enough for a Croconaw, and haven't seen/hatched one since. I now have 3 Meganiums and 2 Typhlosions which is mostly thanks to the events.

 

I have 7 Tyrannitar and 6 Machamp from raids so far. Probably got something like 75 total rare candies, 3 fast TM's and 3 charge ones.

Didn't get my damn 50 coins yet today though, in three gyms currently

 

Spending the day in Kansas City and this is by far the most activity in this game I've ever seen. The first Tyranitar raid I've seen is going on right now down the street but I'm at a brewery so ya know, I probably won't leave.

 

This is amazing.

 

I've yet to see a four star raid

 

I haven't seen one either. A Tyrannitar raid would be nice... I don't even have a Larvitar yet.

I keep saving my pass waiting for something like that and then end up not using it. I've done a bunch of Magikarp raids at least!

 

Just caught an Unown in the middle of upstate NY.

 

More specifically? I live in Hudson just south of Albany. Will drive to wherever you went haha.

Got my first fast TM and now my Machamp knows Counter. Success.

 

FUCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!! Did my first Tyranitar raid. Broke out of all 9 balls. Had a golden razz spinball excellent too.... I feel so disappointed.

I put an Ursuring in a gym on Saturday and it's still there!!! I'm really excited tbh I've never had a Poke last longer than a couple of hours. It's a super busy gym usually too so I'm sure once the holiday is over it'll be kicked out but hey, it's nice to actually enjoy gyms now

 

Not sure if you know the new rules for gyms but you can only get 50 coins max per day, you don't receive 50 coins for every day they're in the gym. Just letting you know in case you didn't, it was disappointing news for me. Still better than before though imo and creates a level playing field for people.

 

Thanks for the heads up, I actually wasn't sure about the rules with that. Even with that it's pretty great for me because I think I've earned a total of 50 coins from gyms in the past year, haha. I live in a popular area and I'm on Team Instinct... So 50 coins is better than 0!

 

Unlucky. Did you at least get any tm's or a decent haul of rare candy?

 

Lol yeah for sure, in the past I was getting ten coins a day like once a week lmao. I've gotten like 250 coins so far from this system so I'm definitely happy with it.

Yeah I feel your pain. I've had some success with Nanab berries with Tyrannitar's but if you got an excellent curveball with a golden razz that's just bad luck. I bet it had really high IV's.

 

Apparently IVs have nothing to do with catch rate. Just levels.

Does anyone know if you can use your free raid pass to join a lobby but then quit and keep the pass? It sucks that you have to join first to even see if anyone is there.

 

From what I've been told the higher the CP of the raid Pokémon the higher the IV's since all raid Mon are level 20.

And yes you should be able to. I believe initially it only worked like that with the premium raid pass but now I think the free one works the same way.
