Unless Unown gets added to a 2km, this event does nothing for me hah

 

I'm the opposite. I'm going to try to skip on work and walk as much as I can to get rid of this stupid 10k.

 

Gonna do a mass evolve at some point during this event using two phones and a lucky egg, 4x the XP. It's gonna be quite lit.

 

haha to be fair, I only do one incubator at a time and I still only open the app while i'm grocery shopping anymore. So I'm not really hatching all that many eggs. I got a little bummed when they became more strict on the egg hatching walking speed. Now my 20 mile bike rides each weekend give me nothing.

 

I'm pretty sure this latest update lowered the speed again.

 

Not surprising. This last time I was riding pretty slowly along the river just kind of sight seeing and I still wasn't getting anything. Pretty sure you have to literally walk.

 

My goal of collecting 9 10k eggs had to be put on hold for this event. I made it to 6 10k eggs all started at the same time! Should be awesome for double candy and for double XP.

Opened the app this morning at the zoo to get a stop and left it open by habit. Accidentally hatched 3 eggs but caught it before the next 3 hatched.

 

So is the idea that people are just trying to wait to hatch eggs until the event start time to get more candies?

Really sucks that I never used to get 10k's, and now of course this week I have gotten 5, 3 of which I still have and only have 2k done on them.

My phone battery can handle maybe 3km on a full charge so this will be hard. Happy walking everyone.

 

Soo somebody in my local Facebook group just hatched an Aerodactyl out of a 2k

 

Whaaaa? I really wish I hadn't just popped a 10k egg.

 

Oh commmmmmon I just evolved my third Blastoise with Bite/Ice Beam. Give me a break.

I have a ton of 5K eggs, but can't really walk right now. Damn butt surgery.

 

Just give me Snorlax and we're good, Aerodactyl I had in my first few weeks of playing last year.

Also looks like if you hatch a Lapras or something from your 2KM egg you get a 2km egg worth of candies for it. aka like 9 instead of 20
