I just know that there is no difference between how many open spots you do or don't have. there is a set probablitly of getting a 2, 5 and 10k. And within each distance, pokemon have set probability. But Where/when/how you get the eggs doesn't matter, it's random

 

I now have 588 Jigglypuff candies....

 

I have hatched a Nidoran, a Venonat, and a Psyduck this event. -_-

 

I mean, it's essentially the same. There's multiple things that could explain why I went from 0 in four months to three in a single day...

They changed the rates of the eggs while switching which Pokemon belong in which group.
Pokestops are random, but having more open spots allows you to have a better chance of getting a 10k.
Pokestops are random, so I was just unlucky the last 50-60 eggs and now am SUPER lucky to have three in one day.

Edit: just got my fourth 10k. I'll take it.

damn, just ran in here to post that. Will be nice to have a chance at catching something new for a change, rather than blind hope of the right egg hatch or the 0.001% chance an Aerodactyl spawns outside my office.

 

Damnit lol I was finally gonna be free from this game for a little while

 

Well nice, I look forward to picking this up again. Gen 2 is prob my fav generation.

 

They need to remove as many of the original 151 as possible now that there's new pokes IMO. Specifically, the ones that everyone has already got and doesn't need a consant stream of spawns of - pidgey, rattata, spearow, weedle, caterpie, zubat, ghastly, paras, venonat etc. - Having them spawn plus commons from the new influx of pokes will make it even harder to encounter the rarer ones many will still need. Hope they address that in some way.

 

Yeah curious how they balance it out. I still plan on playing until I get the last four I need so I'm wondering how that's going to work.

Edit: Have to say, having that new berry that will double the candy you get if you happen to catch a Pokemon is a great idea. I'm going to hoard mine for any possible Dratini if I ever get one again.

 

Yeah, wonder if there will just be Pokemon everywhere at this point.

 

Well, I almost completed NA Gen 1 before Gen 2 was released.

I still need:

15 candy for Machamp
12 candy for Dewgong
7 candy for Muk
13 candy for Dragonite
I still need a Porygon and Aerodactyl

I've only hatched 2 of the babies 30 eggs later...

I've basically been of data for the entire Valentines event and not playing has been driving me crazy. Really excited about Gen 2 though, it's one of my favorites.

 

I just need Blastoise, Dewgong, Muk, Lapras, Clefable, Gyarados, Dragonair/Dragonite

 

OK I'm ready!

 

Been in a serious lull for the last 2 weeks. This couldn't have come at a better time! 154 and counting...

 

Yeah I'm sad I'm not completing the gen 1 dex before rollout of the new guys. Oh well though, I will be happy to see something new that's for sure.

Aerodactyl, Lapras, Dragonite (55 more candies), and Hitmonchan. Soooo close. I have three 10ks right now, too.

I wonder how easy Tyrogue will be to get. If I can manage to get him, I can possibly just evolve him to get Hitmonchan. Not sure how that whole process will work with three evolutions.

The sad part is I need one more for Dragonair but then I'm starting all over for Dragonite. Unless they become more common I don't know how I'm ever getting that now. I also need 300 for Gyarados. They'd have to become Pidgey levels of common for me to ever get that

 

Aerodactyl was the last one I needed. Getting within 1 of completing the 1st gen pokedex is ok by me though. Time to catch a load of weird pokemon I've never heard of!

Also, it is literally crazy that people need a Gyarados! Seen 226 Magikarp in total (caught 200), plus I have 550 candies atm and am just waiting for a decent Magikarp to evolve my 2nd Gyarados, and have caught 2 in the wild!!!

 

That's crazy to me. Seen/caught 68/65. And I feel like I play a decent amount. At 130/143 total.

 

What's considered a good Magikarp? I have one at 132cp, and it USED to be 150cp until they nerfed it.


Currently at 201 candies for it too. (Sigh)
