Caught the last Grimer I needed (thanks to double candy)! Got my first 10k egg since October finally, too. Sitting at 139 and I just need:

Dragonite (58 candies away)
Lapras
Hitmonchan
Aerodactyl

Not counting those stupid babies although I know I'll get a Smoochum out of this 10k coming up.

Edit: just got the last Geodude which makes three new Pokémon this event. Down to the bottom four which are all 10ks. Looks like I'm going to be walking a lot.

 

Finished up the gen 1 dex today with dragonite. Hoping for a Smoochum in this 10km but after that I think I'll hold off this until gen 2 releases

 

I really want to finish this thing up before Gen 2 but it's basically just walking with the app open in my pocket at this point.

 

Yeah this game is officially just walking my bulbasaur enough Kms while praying for a Dragonite/Tangela spawn.

 

Feels so anticlimactic because I was so stoked to fill out the Pokedex during the summer. Now I've been playing so long that I've gotten everything else like three times over. Haha.

Plus, I've managed to get down to the last four and the only helpful 10ks I've ever had are Hitmonlee and Dratini.

 

No 10ks since October and now I have three. They must have really shifted the rates. I will be shocked if all three aren't Smoochums.

 

is there increased rate of the valentiens pokemon out of the eggs too? My 10km that just hatched was an elekid (my third lol)

 

There almost has to be. Out of the eight (?) eggs I've hatched during this event, three have been Exeggcutes and I hatched my first Lickitung ever. They are dominating everything. haha.

But on the bright side, it seems like they scaled it back since the first couple of days.

 

Got my 2nd Chansey today from an incense - 1043cp and the fucking thing's HP is 370... THREE. HUNDRED. AND SEVENTY?!?! My fucking Snorlax is only 220!

 

Chansey has the highest HP in the game I'm pretty sure.

 

Mine's only at 490CP and the HP is still 254 lol wild

I think for as useless as the fully evolved starters are, they should have at least had higher HPs. They were all pretty formidable in the old games, even the card games. Pretty sure Charizard was tied with Chansey for the highest CP.

 

increased smoochums and magbys only, elekid is just random chance for you

 

Shit, like 4/14 of my 10k eggs have been Jynxes... No doubt I'm about to hatch three Smoochums. haha.

 

the only thing I really needed from this event was more Clefairys for a Clefable and of course that didn't happen

 

Yeah haven't seen a single Clefairy

 

The first day, my tracker had 9 Clefairies on it lol

 

Did hatch 2 Cleffas but still not close to Clefable

 

seen no clefairys and no chanseys

 

I caught enough Clefairy on day one to evolve four, but haven't seen one since. No Chanseys, but I hatched one at the start of the game so it's not bothering me.

 

Caught two Chansey's in the same spot today, within ten minutes of each other. Gonna go back to that spot in a little while once I stock up on ultra balls. Also caught at least 15 Lickitung since the event started and just caught two Porygon in the same place.

 

I'll add this theory to the 10k egg ratio...

I just realize the times I've been able to get 10ks are when I've gotten a bunch of eggs consecutively. Like if I only had four or five eggs in my queue, I would hit a bunch of stops in a row and usually get a 10k. Whenever I stopped getting more incubators, I only hatched one egg at a time. When I did that, I didn't get a single 10k in about 50+ eggs.

Might just be a coincidence, but it seemed like when I could pick up a few eggs at once, I was more likely to get a 10k.

 

I don't want to break anyone's hearts, but it's been proven over and over and over and over and over again on reddit (really, it's a meme at this point) that eggs are random. They are just 100% random.

OR like my earlier theory states, they just change the rates of them every now and then and that's why I got three eggs after not getting one for 4 months. haha. The egg ratio changed during the Halloween event, as well when they switched up which Pokemon appeared in which eggs the first time.
