I think the servers would be fine if the game hadn't had the cultural impact it's currently having. I'm certain they're working their asses off to fix all the glitches because 21 million daily users (and counting) could be a shit ton of revenue if this game keeps them happy.

 

Oh shit, I forgot about that, haha. I guess I just haven't been able to power him up then. Sorry, it's been a long fucking time since I dealt with Pokémon. Like, 15 years.

 

McDonalds is likely the first company to have stakes in this game. That scares the shit out of me.

 

Went outside to see if there were any Pokemon around and saw a hawk perched in my building and the tiniest praying mantis I've ever seen. Pretty sweet tbh I love that this gets me off my ass

 

finally put my first pokemon in a gym.

the amount of times this game has crapped out in the middle of catching a pokemon is infuriating.

 

followed a silhoutette to a Rhydon yesterday and followed it, got to an area with 3 pokestops, all using lure, and the steps lowered when i got towards them so he had to be there. Got 1 step away and realized ALL the pokestops were inside a gated business complex that required electronic ID to get in. Coulnd't get the Rhydon, couldn't get any of the pokestops

I had fun with this game for a few days but I'm about to abandon it now. The crashes and bugs have only seemed to get worse. I only end up catching about 1 out of every 5 Pokemon I see because the app locks up so frequently when trying to capture something.

 

It helped a lot when I updated mine.

 

the lock ups ive had once i've caught a pokemon and waiting on the 3 stirs is infuriating. seems like its happened even more to me since the stability update.

Yep, mine got a lot worse with that update too. But then again, before the update the app was constantly signing me out.

I've tried all the 'turn off LTE' tricks too, and that didn't help.

 

Is Pickachu hard to catch? He broke through 3 straight balls today and then ran away. Never had more than one break before and I've caught stuff at a much higher level.

You'd be surprised at how much of the battle comes down to rapid poking of your screen plus glitches in the system.

I still have major reluctance about using the special moves. Unless you are up against an opponent where you have a type advantage it is not that beneficial to use the special moves.

It usually leaves you open to attack by the opponent because it takes awhile for your Pokémon "gears up" to do the attack.

 

What're the type advantages again?

 

Hatched my first 10k egg today and it was a damn Eevee. I already have all 3 evolutions so this could not have been more useless.

 

Oh god. There's a chart somewhere. Can someone help us out?
