Pokemon GO (mobile) [ARCHIVED] Video Game • Page 19

I'm level 10 now and have not yet encountered any of the starter 3 outside the very beginning part of the game - is this normal? I've seen a silhouette of Charmander & Squirtle but couldn't find them, no sign of Bulbasaur at all

 

Had never seen a Squirtle. Found two of them in three minutes right outside my house.

 

Subbin tho its bs that we still dont have Go.

 

So, I don't know if anyone else is having similar "issues", but my GPS is going crazy right now. I am just sitting at my desk at work, and my avatar is just walking for miles lol. I'm able to hit Pokestops, catch Pokemon, and its even all counting towards my eggs. Best issue ever. This is on a iPhone 5S.

 

i never fight at the gyms because everyone is super elite there.

 

I have all the starters and pikachu as well. They all kinda showed up on the path I walk on my lunch break

 

Wait, does powering up a Pokemon last forever? For some reason I was under the impression that was just a temporary boost in HP/CP

That's pretty convenient. haha. I've caught about six or seven Bulbasaurs (need one more for Ivysaur), but I've only ever seen/caught two Squirtles. I started with Charmander and that's the only one I've ever come across (poor little CP12). And caught the first Pikachu I've seen last night. It's ridiculous.

 

I haven't seen another one since then so I guess I will never evolve them

 

This is a question we need to have answered by Niantic: What is the equation used to calculate CP?"

It has to be something like Weight + Height + HP + Attack? = CP

 

The gyms seem so futile. They get taken over so quickly, even if you roll in a pack with friends and try to build up the level of one for your team.

I have never done that, but I have noticed, comically, that people roll around in their cars as a team and just plop down at a gym until they run it. Makes me wonder, are #pokeGangs a thing yet?

 

Team Rocket is at it again! I saw a 10 year old get mowed down by a bicycle in a park yesterday when she was playing it, not paying attention.

 

haha! Presuming that the 10 y/o wasn't seriously injured, that's hilarious.

 

She popped right back up and continued walking and playing, while the guy on the bike was yelling at her. I was laughing.

I wish there was a type of Evee for every type of Pokémon...a grass one, an ice one, a dragon one. Then you could just run with a pack of dogs and be fine.

 

In the newer games, there actually is a Leafeon and a Glaceon, but no dragon type yet.

 

I find the lack of the starter 3 in the wild to be surprising & perplexing.

 

Wow! Maybe I knew that already and completely forgot. I only played the original Red version. My nephews have been my only source of Pokémon updates in the decade and a half since...up until this Go version came out that is.

It's a struggle. I really need to just go sit at a bar that's a pokéstop for a few hours and stock up, haha.

 

I'm seeing this girl, and her room is RIGHT in range of a Pokestop. Whenever she falls asleep first I make sure to snag a coupla pokeballs
