the best part of living in the most mormon city in the world is that i get to go out on sundays and its a ghost town. all the gyms are mine

 

Level 16 currently. Waiting to catch one more DoDuo, and two more Eevees, then I'm evolving 8 Pokemon with a lucky egg.

 

My Dex has been stuck at 68 since Friday, have about 5-6 Pokemon that I'm within 10 candies of evolving though.

 

I found a Wartortle at work yesterday, and found another today in the exact same spot. Probably about 22 hours later, super weird.

 

I'm going to the zoo tomorrow with my kids, and supposedly it's a known Charizard spawn according to a couple friends. Hoping that's true.

 

Found a 414 Seel today and was super pumped, then realized it's going to take forever to get the candies to evolve it.

Also got 4 magikarps in the exact same spot just flopping around on a pier, which I thought was hilarious. Suddenly my screen was just full of magikarps.

 

Went to STL zoo yesterday hoping it'd be a gold mine but there were so many people playing that the app just couldn't handle it. When it was working I found nothing very rare, just the same old same old

 

I just collect a shit ton of caterpie and pidgeys and evolve them all when I use an egg.

 

Had to pull over to catch an 800+ Jynx

Also saw two different Vulpix that both ran away after the first ball :(

 

Nothing new or exciting for me today. Oh well. I set out to get my pokedex over 50 this weekend and ended up at 52. And I saw shadows of a Jynx, Psyduck, Abra, and Ekans that I hadn't seen before. So that's promising for this coming week.

I feel like they're going to need to role out gen 2 sooner than later or else people will burn out on gen 1 too quickly

 

I've lost several pokemon that I've only seen once due to them running away after breaking out of the first ball I've thrown at them.

 

I honestly don't care about gen 2 because I don't know who any of them are

 

Saw an Alakazam silhouette about 5 minutes ago and then it disappeared. Would've made my night.

 

One thing I'm wondering...how will eggs change once gen 2 comes? Right now you can hatch Jigglypuffs from eggs, will that still be possible when gen 2 is here or will it be the pre-evolution only? (My wording is awful but you know what I mean)

 

I would like gens 2 and 3 sooner rather than later, some of my favorite Pokemon are from those games.

Side note I just watched the trailer for the first time since they released it and it shows trading as a main feature, so I am surprised it wasn't a part of the initial role out. Also shows distance in meters instead of footprints so I assume thats changing eventually. Finally, the scene with Mewtwo in times square has a bunch of people trying to fight it together with a time limit. This needs to be a thing for all legendaries, now... please...

 

I also thought about this, and what about steelix and scizor? Will they evolve normally or do we need to steel coat? What about Politoad and all the other alternate evolutions? Will be very interesting to see them integrated into the game eventually.

 

Yeah that's the reason I figured I might as well save Scyther candies just in case haha. It'll be very interesting for sure, I can't wait.

 

Took all 20 great balls and 10 pokeballs. Caught with a standard ball. WORTH IT.

I've been blowing my scyther candies left and right.. Oops.

 

So weird how some of those Pokemon work. Caught a really weak Beedrill that busted out of about 5 balls even with those razz berry things, but I caught a cp430 Magmar with the first shot.

 

Don't have a Geodude or Graveler, but I just caught a CP 493 Golem... ok then.

 

dropped an ancient egg and evolved like 15 pokemon that i've been stashing all week. went from 15 to almost 17. gonna take the bike out here in a bit even though its 100 degrees outside. hope to catch something besides pidgey

 

Well, I went to my Mormon church today and had the luxury of controlling a gym while I was there. Of course when I left, I lost it a few hours later.

How does anyone hold a gym for more than a day?

 

I only held a gym longer than a day once, it was the second day the game was out and I didn't know there was a defender bonus so it was pretty pointless.
