Pidgeys/Rattatas definitely harder to catch. Haven't played in three days, but I saw two right when I opened the app today. The Pidgey busted out twice and ran off, the Rattata took four balls to catch. Ugh.

 

Pretty small sample size to say definitely lol.

Theyre not fiddling with this shit every day. Sometimes things run away and sometimes it happens a few times in succession theres really not that much to it.

 

It scares me that this game heavily favors all of the pokemon that appear fat and out of shape. What type of message is this sending to our youth??

I got my first Omanyte today and discovered that it's a nest. So much fun to find stuff like this.

It is really odd how high their CP is. I currently have two Glooms and a Weepinbell at 1000+ CP from evolving Oddish and Bellsprout (they are both fairly common near me: caught 85 Oddish and 50 Weepinbell thus far).

 

Same here. Currently on my second string for both evolutions and my Weepinbell is over 1000CP, it's gonna blow away my current Victribell.

 

I haven't played in like 2 and a half weeks :/

 

Still planning on trying to play this game this month since I'm taking trips down to Austin and Atlanta, but as far as playing in my home town, it feels like I've hit a major wall.

 

did a bunch of evolved with a lucky egg over the weekend. definitely not motivated to start grinding again.

 

They really undercut the effectiveness of a majority of grass Pokémon in this game.

Tauros are now trash pokemon in my area. Kind of sad.

 

Everything is a trash Pokemon to me if I don't need it still. haha.

 

Yeah, I just went to an O's game this weekend and caught 3.

 

I ended up raking 200 coins and got the bag upgrade. Now I'm at almost at 200 Pokeballs and I'm out of Hyper Potions, so the tables have turned compared to the start when I chucked Potions and Revives. They don't even sell them and I hardly get them at the stops.

That's what I thought. So now I'm sitting with a few useless Metapods and Kakunas.

 

Fiiinally caught my first Snorlax today, in the wild.

1123 CP and no Hyper Beam but I can't complain.

 

I don't even know if there is an effective grass Pokemon in this game outside of Venusaur.

 

True. Eggecutor maybe counts?

Even so, you really have to get lucky with that or a Venusaur if you hope to effectively challenge a Vape of equal CP.

Not sure why they made Vapes so ridiculously favorable against other options. Jolteon's can take them down, but only if they are at equal CP with an exceptional move set (Thunder!). Wonder who was behind that decision.

 

I can also to farm you a Gyarados for your account in return for an exclusive from your country. This will take several hours but it won't be difficult at all. Come on do we have any takers? Hahahahah.
