Is there any link between the number of lures in an area and the rareness of pokemon that are spawned? This morning I just had 1 lure going at my office and was spawning standard fare, but this afternoon I put one on another nearby pokestop so I had 2 going simultaneously and have had some great stuff coming up this time (finally got a Cubone, baby!!!).

 

Yeah the more lures close together as well as players at the lures influences it.

I hatched another eevee from a 10km egg. That is some bs. I can find 15 eevee a day in the wild.

 

The driver must have stopped to get them for himself. Did you happen to be all the way in the back of the bus? lol

 

Has anyone caught/hatched an Electrode yet? I've only caught one voltorb and hatched another.

 

I'm 1 voltorb away from my electrode. I caught like 7 in one day on Princeton campus for some reason. Then hatched one today.

 

I think Voltorb is one of the first pokemon I was able to evolve. I weirdly have a ton of them where I live (Cape Cod, MA).

 

I'll be in Cape Cod next weekend so I'm going to find this magical spot

 

I saw an Electrodude in the Bahamas, go get it!

 

I wish there were specific spots to know to look for weird Pokemon like electric types and fire types...or ones like Koffing. The only three Magnemites I've caught have all been at the same exact spot on the trail so maybe I found a spawn point for those. Not sure where to look for much else though.

 

For some reason all the electric and fire types spawn at the beach for me. Got a bunch of Growlithe, Magnemite, and Ponyta out there.

Also yeah, where the fuck are Koffing and Grimer?

 

If you're around the Falmouth/Upper Cape area check out Woods Hole. Its a major hotspot in that area and I've gotten some rare stuff there. Just got an Aerodactyl there last night. Also tons of magnemites usually.

 

I've seen like one Koffing silhoette once and thats it. Grimer I'm at a total loss of where the hell to find. I've never seen one or a Muk in any gyms around me.

 

Really is funny to see how different the common/uncommon pokemon are in other areas. I have barely any voltorb, but I caught a Weezing my first week before I ever had a Koffing. I've caught I believe 10 Koffing since.

 

But yeah no Muk or Grimer for me.

 

Caught a Chansey today and got a Jigglypuff yesterday. Two of my favorites so I'm pretty happy with my game lately. My gym that I took over last night was already level 5 for another team by the time I woke up, oh well.

 

It's weird that I've only ever seen like, one Jillypuff and one Clefairy

 

I caught like 10 Magemite and 8 Voltorb at the boardwalk the other night. Never seen a Koffing and only caught a Grimer once.

 

I've seen a lottt of Clefairy. Lake George had a bunch when I was there last weekend

 

nah the bus stopped 1min away from the (likely) spawn point; if he'd kept shit moving both of us could've got there in time to catch them!
Oh, and of course I was sat all the way at the back, a.k.a. the designated 'cool kid' spot on all buses...

 

The spot I was talking about yesterday that is right at my neighbor's driveway is a Clefairy spawn point for sure. I can't catch them from inside my house, but I bet I see one 50% of the time I leave from/arrive to my house. At level 21, I have one maxed out ready to evolve.

Also, I've only caught one Koffing and I'm pretty sure I was walking past the power plant downtown. Wondering if that was intentional, but I haven't been back to see if I can catch more.

 

Lake George huh? That's not too far from me at all. Though Clefairy has been pretty common here. I've evolved two Clefables already. Would like a Chansey.
