Think there was a shiny Aerodactyl giveaway today?

I had an aerodactyl spawn when I opened the game, but it wasn't shiny

 

The changes to mega evolutions have been announced.

 

I opened my app this morning, and clicked on an Aerodactyl. It was shiny. I texted one of my friends about it, and she had the same thing happen to her. I posted it in the Chorus.fm PoGo Discord, and someone else had the same thing happen to them.

Regardless, it was pretty cool. Thought it was a giveaway, since I usually don't see Aerodactyl spawn non-raid.

 

Aerodactyl has the boosted rare spawn/raid boss shiny rates. There are just a LOT more of them spawning for the event than usual.

 

that's just luck! Aerodactyls are more common right now in this event and they have a permanent shiny rate boost.

 

The mega system is obviously pretty dumb, but goddamn this is cool

Every season in GBL I get stuck in early rank 9. I just cannot figure out how to get to rank 10. Pikachu Libre will never be in my dex.

So iOS 14 is releasing tomorrow and Pokemon Go still doesn't work on it. I'm expecting a lot of posts about "Why is my game not working?!" in all my PoGo groups tomorrow if Niantic doesn't fix it on time.

 

how the hell is Niantic not prepared for a major operating system update?

 

Do we know that Apple granted Niantic early enough access to the operating system? If they didn't, it's hardly Niantic's fault

 

It's been in beta for developers since late June. I just feel like they were waiting for the usual week between GM and official release to release a fix, but the GM got released a day before the public release.

 

on another note, I don't think I've played less in a single month than this month, the events are pretty terrible unfortunately

 

Yeah, I'm just not interested in Mega Raids at all personally
