I honestly don't mind it being difficult to find things, I just don't like it being impossible to have all the Pokemon haha (excluding legendaries though, I'm patient on that and don't care much on how they implement it given the intended rarity of them). But yeah it'll be tons of fun when there's the new generations.

 

It is kind of dumb that they made region exclusive Pokemon at all. I get making something rare but unless they offer them in special events then it's stupid, especially since like North America didn't get an exclusive as well.

 

Isn't Tauros the NA exclusive?

 

Read that Tauros was NA exclusive. Everything is still hatchable though, from what I've read.

 

Well to be fair you can get the region exclusives from eggs I guess. It is kinda weird but I don't know how much of a problem I have with it, honestly

 

There's something to be said about region-specific and making the completion of the game more or less possible based on how well off someone is or isn't

 

99.9% sure it's been proven that you can't hatch region-specific outside the region

 

Supposedly you can't get em from eggs and I was wrong about it. Well, that, or it's just that no one's gotten one from an egg yet.

 

I haven't heard of a single confirmed report of someone in NA hatching any of the regional exclusives

I went out on a poke hunting trip tonight and had a good one. Finally evened out my numbers, I'm level 22 and at 90/90 by catching an Ekans and Slowbro. Also got enough Jigglypuff to finally get a Wigglytuff! Love its HP.

 

I was making p good progress on a Wigglytuff then randomly I saw/caught one in my driveway that was like cp80 and haven't made much progress on evolving a Jigglypuff since.

Anyways I evolved a solid ass Golduck today (cp1200ish with Confusion/Hydropump) after hatching a Psyduck so that's enough to keep me playing for another day

I yam 20, 82/82

 

spent a little under an hour at the pier tonight, got enough to evolve a kabuto, omastar and cloyster, then 4 more squirtles and 10 more magikarp. Pokedex at 119 now

 

Haven't opened this for well over a week now. The last update really killed it for me, I can't even catch a 20cp pidgey anymore without it breaking out twice. Just saw a 200cp Hitmonlee and it broke out of 5 great balls and then ran. It's dumb.

Shame the hype has died down so fast.

I realised the truth in this this morning - My start date for this game was 15th July, so yesterday I'd been playing just one month and have got almost 100 pokemon already. I think my frustrations come from enjoying the game too much! And I just want them all & want them now

 

Saw a 1200cp Vileplume in the wild this morning, but it broke out of an ultra ball, with spin on the throw, a 'great' hit within the orange circle, and a razz berry too. Literally the only way that thrown combo could have been better is if I got an 'excellent' hit!!! So I'm now 92/93

 

It is frustrating (I've never seen a Charmander, or Bulbasaur, in the wild either) - there are so few pokemon that deserve needing 100+ candies to evolve it. Like, Victribell, Vileplume and Nidoking/Nidoqueen needing 100? 75 candies at most for those would still be a challenge and not take forever to evolve pokemon that people barely care about, surely? I'd say 400 magikarp candies is a joke but my friend is on 399 atm, so if you're dedicated you can get there!

 

I tell you all, venture one day with a friend or your significant other to a busier area/city, maybe even a theme park, and your frustrations will be answered. I'd say the one day I spent in NYC for work (which really only gave me about 2 hours) is responsible for at least 20 catches of Pokemon that I didn't have yet. When I went to visit Philly last weekend, I got another 5-10 first catches. I had yet to see a bulbasaur, and then boom caught about 12 or so one day in a populated area. Also, find out where people group up for Pokestops that are really close together. The more people at a lure, the better the results and more sporadic. In my hometown, if one lure is going and there's only a handful of us, maybe we'll get a strong Raticate, pikachu, or evolved versions of pretty common ones. I go to the UAlbany campus or Empire Plaza where there is like 20 people at a time and I see the best shit come up.

 

I rarely use special attacks anyway so whatev, plus I'd rather have a gyrados than no gyrados

 

It's laughably easy to get a Gyarados here. I have evolved 6 so far.
