Oh that’s good I guess but I literally only won 5 raids total ever. I don’t live in an area where a lot people get together and do them. The 15 raid win task is ridiculous and pretty much impossible to complete anytime soon for people that don’t live in big cities.

Plus it’s the second stage of the research so how long is it going to take me to finish it after I can finally get raids done?

 

The rest isn't too bad. You can easily do Tier 1 or 2 raids alone if you see one. That's probably what I'll end up doing because my local group does raids at the worst time for me. Like, I'm available on Wednesday afternoon, but they are all waiting for the Raid Hour that happens while I work.

 

I don’t understand why you’re defending their choice to include a task that requires you to win 15 raids. Not just participate in but win 15. My town is also very spread out so I’m not going to drive around aimlessly until a see a low tier one.

They make billions of dollars in revenue from this game. Make something easy to complete in a time where people don’t want to go out and socialize with a bunch of people.

 

I still probably haven’t raided 15 times total since it became a thing. Yeah I live in a big city and everything but it’s just not something I really do.

 

yeah the 15 raids thing is a glowing neon excuse to sell remote raid passes. what will actually happen is people will now use their old severely value-diminished premium passes which will get people out and about when they shouldn't be.

there has been a noticeable shift in philosophy for Niantic lately and its not getting me to pay more, its getting me to play less

 

i can't get over how people complained about event mons being locked behind 7 km eggs and they said "we hear you" and changed event eggs to be 2km for literallly ONE event before shifting back to 7km eggs for 5 or 6 events in a row with a decreased drop rate from gifts, if that doesn't say a lot about their long-term commitment to the direction of the game then idk

 

I'm not defending their decision to put that task. It's a shitty task. Just trying to give solutions to do it since you mentioned not being able to get people to do raids. The task is there and there's nothing we can do about it. Just trying to help.

I haven’t spent a penny since January and before that I would spend the $9.99 basically every month!

 

I can’t still work out the difference between the paid and free version of the event.

By now, the only difference I can see is that the paid version comes with 10 extra candies when I catch a reward pokemon. Is that really the only difference?

 

What's truly annoying is I can access 7 pokestops from my desk, but the nearest gym is five blocks away. If just *one* of them became a gym, my tune would change quite quickly, haha.

 

The gym visible from my house for Sprint was removed. What the FUUUUCKKKKKKK

 

Almost every gym that is within reasonable distance to me is at a church and I feel weird going to sit in a church parking lot that I don’t go to just to access a gym lol

 

I still can't figure out if I will even get a Genesect at the end of this crap fest. I did the paid one and they usually "reward" you with candies for the free one if you already got it.

 

did you miss completing one of the four throwbacks? the 8 bucks just gets you 10 extra candy per mon and "bonus stardust" if you got the free one as well, no additional encounters. seems like the worst value ever.

 

Sorry, I meant the paid one when Genesect was first introduced. i completed the throwbacks, but don't know that I will even get another Genesect at the end of the new research.

Finished the first stage of the research, probably won’t finish the second until at least a month from now!

 

I just finished the Celebi research, why is this encounter so hard? Only one of my throws have hit it.

 

Just soloed a Kabutops raid to finish my Meltan research.

 

I just barely missed out on beating a Kabutops earlier. I didn't think about the dodge mechanic until about halfway through lol

 

I figured it out, I had to turn off my camera permission for Go and then it worked lol

 

hatching 15 eggs and only getting an Osahwott is a war crime.
