This is what's slowing me down. Since I have never even seen a Charmander and have no hope of ever catching 125 candies worth, the eggs are my only hope. I biked 14 miles today and have absolutely nothing to show for the seven eggs I hatched.... That is neither fun or giving me more incentive to buy/save coins for more incubators to try again.

It's not impossible at all. I have actually slowed my playing because I hit 104 in less than a month. I find rare ones in lure groups and/or just randomly in the strangest places. I honestly was cool with just hitting level 23 and then slowing down to just enjoy finding new ones and no longer feeling the need to collect basic Pokemon for lucky eggs. I guess it is a different experience for everyone, but futile is untrue.

    Try walking? As it's intended?

I guess it depends on where you live. I've played what I would consider to be a lot for the first month since release. I've been on walks and do lure groups. The pace I'm on now I could play for 2 or 3 years and not get enough candies for a lot of Pokemon.

I was referring to hatching seven Pidgeys/Zubats/Caterpies. Not about the eggs not hatching because I was biking. But yeah you're right, maybe walking will help.

According to that there's no Pokemon in my entire city.

I'm at 97 caught. Found a bunch of new ones at the beach but once finding new ones at home dies down I'll probably slow down my playing. Catching/hatching/evolving new Pokemon is the only thing keeping me playing this game.

This game was always more fun as a casual thing you take out when you happen to be walking around anyways

I liked devoting time to just playing when there was still lots of new Pokes to discover. But now I've been stagnant in the 90s Pokedex count for weeks and leveling up doesn't happen as often. Now I just play it on my tram rides or walking around the city. Sometimes I go claim the gyms within close walking distance, but the days of me walking around for a few hours just playing have been gone for a while.

Its been kinda hard to play this game lately due to being in the rural so no pokeballs and the fact sometimes some of these under 100 cp Pokemon still take 3+ pokeballs to catch.

There is a magmar showing up on my nearby thing but I don't know if I should even try to walk around and see.

I have pretty much put this game on a "Saturday only" basis unless I'm doing something like shopping for groceries haha. Way too busy to spend my nights after working driving around town looking for Pokestops and hot spots (none within miles of work or my house). I usually go for long bike rides every Saturday morning so it's a good time to see what I can do.

Yeah. I think some people get too invested in it. I have plenty of options to play it every day between walking my dog and my lunch break, but I don't force myself to play it at any point. Still an enjoyable thing to break out here and there.

I'm also in the city so there are plenty of stops around me everywhere i go, basically any time I go for a walk I take it out as long as I don't have to worry about battery life. Sometimes I'll go on walks but I wouldn't say it's just to go for this, it's just a little more of a motivation. Though on 100 degree days like today...

I completed my Raichu and my Gengar yesterday. At a cool 137/137. There's a big Pokémon crawl coming up later today that should hopefully help me complete a couple other monsters.

Yeah. I work in the city and live in the 'burbs, so I get a good mix of everything. I agree though. It definitely adds a little more motivation on the days when you don't want to get out in this heat.

What's everyone's strongest beedrill? He's one of my favorites, but fuuuck, it's hard to get a decently strong Kakuna, and Weedle's CP barely goes up when evolving. I saw a 700 CP Beedrill today but it ran off on me.

Also, as I see everybody around the city walking around with power banks, it's times like these I'm really happy that I have a spare battery for my phone.

Mine's 663 without any power ups. I saw one around 750 one day, but didn't happen to have any great/ultra balls to get it done. I can't imagine they have the potential to really get too high of a CP though.

Mine is an 800, but thats the highest I've gotten. Biggest Kakuna I've had is like 260.

I have a 697 Beedrill with no power ups and even though I've re-evolved (almost typed revolved) many others to stronger duplicates, I stopped collecting weedle's cause fuck Weedle.

Has anyone else found Go Radar completely useless? I dislike not being able to scan, it doesn't load any of the gyms or stops, and barely any Pokemon. I miss pokewhere

With the new tracker you should definitely go look. It's super easy to find things now as it only shows within 200 meters.
