Just came across this guy. So pumped because it's the first Pokemon I've come across that's higher than 600CP in the wild. Funny how I needed one more exeggcute candy to evolve one and then this pops up.

 

It doesn't, everyone will find the same things in the same places except when using inscence

 

I haven't even seen an Exeggcute yet, but someone is holding a gym near me with a 2366cp Exeggutor!!!

 

Can someone explain to me what IVs are and how I find out my pokemon's IV?

 

Just saw an Onix for the first time. 30CP......THIRTY!!!!

 

This gave me the extent of my knowledge although I really don't pay much attention to it...

Question I've had since the beginning but was never really answered:

When u are about to go into a battle against a rival gym, does the game automatically suggest the best 6 possible pokemon you have against what enemy pokemon you're about to go against? Or is it completely random? It's never the top 6 CP guys I have it's always a different mix depending on the opponents..

 

It seems it picks the best matches against the opponent, taking into account weaknesses/strengths.

i dunno if it picks the best, it always tries to make me use my 900 cp gloom at the end of my roster against like 2000 cp lapras' lol

 

Usually the order is a little funky when I go against another gym, but it generally has the right people I need. I think it's trusting that once you defeat the first guy, you're going to swap out your current Pokemon with another one on the roster.

Edit: But yeah, sometimes it does throw in a Pinsir who will get obliterated on the first shot. Not sure why it does that.

 

Has the little rustling leaves graphic that indicates nearby pokemon been removed? Feel like I haven't seen that in forever

i never really found the leaves to be useful or consistent, i would be standing right on top of them and nothing would appear

 

That's what I was about to say. Can't tell you how many times I did this. Although I felt like it did work the first couple of days the app was available. When the 3-step system worked, the rustling leaves actually gave me a specific place to look, from what I remember.

 

The first day I played it I went on what turned out to be a full 10km walk just going from one set of rustling leaves to the next and I swear not a single pokemon spawned anywhere near the leaves - they were all in-between. A Pidgeotto was on my nearby list & the rustling leaves were in someones garden behind this big fence atop an embankment - i climbed up and hugged the fence just to get as close as possible. I did not catch the Pidgeotto...

 

Just caught a 1216 snorlax life is good

 

I'm at the Dodgers game tonight. Two gyms, and tons of stops with lures. Should be a fun night!

These eggs make me want to rage quit this game. Only way to get anything rare around here yet I've gotten three Pinsirs from the 10k eggs (I have 114 Pinsir candy, but 0 for Lapras, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Electabuzz, etc.) Enfuriating especially after both of the 2k eggs I hatched today were Pidgey and Caterpie.

Edit: annnnd another Caterpie...and there goes my incubator I worked so hard for lol

 

I've stopped doing things to hatch eggs. I'll incubate in the background. And when they hatch, great. But I'm not going to focus on them at all.

 

yeah I hatched 5 eggs today & 4 were garbage, but one was a Sandshrew which is one i've been waiting for!!! Cubone & Bulbasaur the two I want most now!

 

Seems like this thread is starting to slow down significantly.. was wondering when that would happen.

 

I hatched SEVEN and they were all garbage. Two Pidgeys, two Caterpies, a Zubat, a Spearow, and a Bellsprout... Like I said, my one 10k egg today was a Pinsir which I have well over 100 candies for. It's like they hand-picked everything I didn't need. Never mind the starters and the 50 Pokemon I need from the 5 and 10k eggs. Just ridiculous.

 

People are starting to realize how futile it is to actually try to fill the pokedex. Based on what's around me it will be virtually impossible to get everything. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way.
