Niantic: You can easily complete these event tasks from home. Also Niantic: Hatch an egg and earn buddy candies.

Apparently child accounts are stopped at the send a gift stage since they can't, you know, send gifts.

 

Also not everyone has a gym they can see from home to do a raid.

 

I was expecting disappointment at the end. I never expected this:

 

With mine it always shows it’s on but I have to toggle it on and off for about a day after I put an egg in. But half the time I forget. So it takes like 3 days to hatch an egg. What’s weird is that the buddy distance works just fine, it just doesn’t track distance for eggs

 

man, I’m so jealous.

 

My Adventure Synch also turned itself off this week. My distance covered is way lower than it usually it because I just realized it last night.

 

Research Challenge: catch a grass-type Pokemon

Got a 100% Raichu from the Kanto research.

 

Of course now that I need to catch an electric type, Charizard hat Pikachu is nowhere to be found lol

 

I had that issue for hours. When one finally popped up I Ultra Balled that thing with a Golden Razz because there was no way I was going to let it run away and stall my progress.

 

I mean, if you can't get an egg hatched or ones buddy candy in a week inside, that's on you. These aren't meant to be all finished in a day, you have all week. The gym ones is the only one that questionable, but that's there because remote raiding was added

 

I just blew through three levels on one walk around my neighborhood. Get the buddy candy level once I’ve sat down. Classic Niantic.

 

Not when my adventure sync doesn’t want to turn on for egg distance!

 

I got a shiny Mewtwo from the kanto event.

 

It just dawned on me that Niantic really does hate us. In the midst of a global pandemic where we all have to stay inside, they still won’t give us remote trading.

And yes, I still have to trade three for Jirachi I have no friends

I still stand by the idea that remote trading would ruin the game, it would be too easy to get anything

make it so you have to be best friends first. 90 day commitment minimum.

 

Yeah but that's so easy to do, and then after 90 days the game is worthless. Why go anywhere if you could trade for it immediately

The Kanto event was not kind to me, but it did feel good to finally catch my first MewTwo (the other one I got in a trade years ago).

I do love how the fun had in this game- THATS stayed normal during all of this. I can still go for a walk, and escape into this fun little world with my friends.
