to be fair, i dont think shinies are boosted right now. we just have an event where 95 percent of spawns have a regular chance of being shiny (1/500 or so), Sneasels everywhere (rate of 1/60 or so), extra spawn points x2 (seriously more spawn points than a Community Day), and incense delivering a spawn every 50 seconds.

i live in a rather isolated apartment complex that is empty rn so i got my 5 miles in today and prob caught 400 mons, dont get discouraged yall

 

Only thing I was seeing this morning were fire types. Of course, now that I need them I don't see any.

Edit: And now that I'm on the Water types quest, I suddenly stop seeing them and see a ton of Fire types again...

 

Got really excited finding my first shiny Sneasel but then I remembered everybody has like 10 of them. People in my group are transferring them lol

I've clicked on literally hundreds of Pokemon this weekend with no shinies.

Pretty happy with my Genesect though.

 

yeah my Genesect is 10/15/15 which is almost ideal if he were any good in great league

Has anyone been able to complete the Genesect special research by just playing at home and using incense? I’m thinking about getting it but I don’t want to pay for it if it’s not possible lol.

 

Yeah I did. I think the only thing that could prevent you from doing it is the Send 3 gifts thing if you don't have any gift to send and don't have a pokestop near you.
