Man, this thread got my hopes up. None of my Eevees were nicknamed and my Rainer still evolved into Jolteon. I'm almost positive the effect only works on the first 3 tries.

 

the threshold for the driving pop up must be pretty low since it happened to me while running this morning lol

 

The nearby feature seems to show what is actually nearby. Usually at my bus station a bunch of random things show up as I get close but this morning they were all on the list in advance.

 

Yeah nearby list is way more accurate now

 

Here in San Francisco they're testing out a new Nearby feature that tells you exactly where the Pokémon is. Not sure I'm in love with it but at this point I'll take what I can get. I wish there'd be some type of compass feature that would point you in the general direction of the Pokémon but didn't give you the exact location.

 

just hatched three 5km eggs - first two pretty crappy (Poliwhirl + Krabby), so for the 3rd one I shouted out loud "please be a fucking Growlithe or SOMETHING", and it ended up being...a Growlithe!!! I jumped for joy So glad there was no-one else around to witness me being such a damn dork...

 

It's funny, and pretty cool honestly, to see/talk about how everyone has different local pokemon that are rare or not. Like, I have caught a bajillion growlithes near my office, but there are plenty I never see

 

Never seen a growlithe, I have like six Hypnos over 1000 that I've evolved, dropped the other five probably. There are so many drowzees here.

 

And I have ever seen ONE Drowzee and zero Hypnos

 

I've probably caught about fifty Drowzees. Got a sick Hypno today.

 

Yep, 0 Drowzees for me, too. So weird how some people are overloaded on that one random Pokemon while others have never even seen one. I don't think that's been the case with any other random one.

 

Yeah i've evolved 3 pretty strong Drowzee's and caught I think one or two wild Hypnos.

 

Feels pretty good to easily catch anything from 100-400CP again with a regular pokeball. the update did fix a ton of stuff with catch rates and that's awesome.

 

I'm still at 45 Pokemon found since I dropped off this game for a bit but with this new update I'll hopefully jump back in more.

Drowzees are a disease where I'm from. Probably like 25% of the Pokemon I've caught are Drowzees. Once 7/9 Pokemon on the nearby list were Drowzee

 

Wasted a bunch of razz berries and ultra balls on a 1600+ CP Arcanine before it ran away. Bummer..

 

Drowzee are as common as Spearows and Venonats in my area. The fall into the "trash pokemon" category along with Pidgey, Rattata, etc

 

I've never seen a Drowzee.

 

i hate drowzees, hypnos arent even very useful anymore. i have three that are all over 1200 and they all kind of suck.

 

my trash pokemon (ones that i don't catch, or only catch for evolving purposes) are pidgey, ratatta, mankey, cubone, growlithe, ponyta, geodude

 

Trash for me are pidgey, ratatta, spearow, and weedle.

Edit: and Zubat. Fuck Zubat.

 

mankey - have only seen one
cubone - have seen two
growlithe - have only seen one
ponyta - never seen one, had to hatch it
geodude - never seen one, had to hatch it

This is in South western Mass / North western CT

 

oh my god how did I forget Zubat. The fucking worst. Not only are they everywhere, but they are damn near impossible to aim at

 

Gym right next to my work has three Arcanine in it going from 1100 cp to 1500 cp. That's terrible and awesome.
