Assuming I get an increase with my 25 next friends every day and I don't get XP from anything else, it would take me 63 days.

 

I remember thinking 39 to 40 would take me like a year before friends came out. Lol.

 

There's a guy around here who always says the game starts when you hit level 40.

Yeah I think that's what he means, like you start focusing more on building up good teams and other different objectives.

 

That’s cool then. I was afraid it was one of those sentiments like players under 40 don’t matter, which I see way too often around here.

I agree with this completely. Up until 40 my OCD was just always saying “get to 40, get to 40.” Now I’m just focused on building up eclectic teams of Pokémon

 

He's always really nice with new players. Actually another group of really hardcore players targeted him personally in gyms and started to tell everyone he was spoofing because he was taking "their" gyms and tried to prove it but their supposed definitive proofs didn't actually prove anything. I don't know if he actually spoofed back then, but I've had a much better experience with that guy than with that other group so I tend to be on his side.
