5 fighting can still lead to Magnemite. Happened to me last night with a task I got 45 minutes into the event. There are other reports on Redditt of it happening too.

 

gf said shiny Machop starts as a Ninja Turtle, evolves into Reptar, and then into Hulk. solid assessment. i want one real bad.

 

Ah damn, that sucks. Hopefully they’ll fix that quick. Got Machoke off it last night which is what made me look up the tasks in the first place.

 

bought an adventure box because i am a masochist, hope y’all are looking forward to the complaining

Also, got a registeel. Nice.

 

Looks like Hippopotas and Hipowdon will be the next pokes we get.

up to 88 unique shinies and greatly reconsidering what i am doing with my life

 

I'm really really hoping I get a shiny Machop at some point during this event. Maybe I'll get some good Karma since I didn't get a shiny Rattata or Pidgey lol

Edit: I also very much enjoy this event. Double stardust/Machops everywhere is making it relatively easy to power up my Machamps for Duo Tyranitar/Absol raiding with my daughter. I can't wait until she gets her new phone so we can really start grinding together lol

my partner and i share her car so she obv takes it to work, so i take the bus which takes roughly an hour because it goes slow af through major traffic. slow enough that i can play Pokémon for 60-70% of the ride, so that’s ~ two hours a day that i can just shiny tap and run from the comfort of my ass. it’s kinda cheating, but i look at it as more of making the best of a painfully slow situation haha. between that, playing normally, and running a couple of miles every day, i am fortunate in my ability to catch and hatch

 

58 unique shinies, 168 total

I never transfer any shinies and have yet to trade any. I’m a damn hoarder.

 

i cant imagine ever actually finding a shiny
