Why are there so many? I don't see a pokéstop or lure.

Getting close to level 23 with 95 caught/96 seen.

Still no luck on Gengar or Charizard sadly.

 

Spawning algorithm is weird. There are spots like that (often where service just begins), where clumps appear consistently.

 

All those pokemon & the one I'm most jealous of is the Bulbasaur!!! Still haven't got one

(I do have a Gengar tho )

 

BROKE AF!

 

They just appear. A new clump every five minutes or so. Usually some combination of Magikarp, Slowpoke, Staryu, Psyduck, and Zubat.

It works like a dream. You can even access it on mobile: me, my girlfriend, and our roommate all have it up and running. The only stipulation is you have to keep it open and running on your home comp.

 

Easily my best day of Pokemon Go in 2 weeks, and it's not even noon!

Someone has a 1200 Charizard in the gym at my work right now. It's the weakest in the gym.

 

I officially joined the 1000CP club last night! Woo

 

i went on a walk down the center st of my town, bout half mile each way. encountered a few garbage pokemon, had 100 ratata and diglett run from me after the first ball. i'd argue this game is unplayable now unless you are in a densely populated location with lures running. who wants to burn an hour of their time walking around town aimlessly having shit pokemon run on you like that?

This is literally how a big chunk of us have been playing since it came out. haha. Only difference is that people like me do not live very close to anywhere that has a lot of Pokestops, so when you run out of balls attempting to catch Pidgeys, you're out of luck.

People wondered why I was complaining so much, but imagine this exact scenario, except when you make a special trip to go to the park where there actually are Pokemon and Pokestops, the app won't even open.

 

I hatched the Snorlax at like 1780 CP, then powered it up as high as possible. The Wartortle I evolved this morning after hatching a 2km Squirtle egg. I've had 15 Squirtle candy for 3 weeks. Felt good to get that done. Haha.

 

What was the Squirtle at that you evolved from? I have one at 464CP with 17 candies!

 

Instead of saying "Do not play Pokémon Go in dangerous areas" it should show me where the dangerous areas are on a map. That would actually be really helpful

 

I think my biggest complaint with the new update is that walking to hatch eggs is super buggy. its really delayed and I feel like it only logs half my distance.

 

Every time I'm doing the "Drive through the cemetery and hit the Pokestops" I get the "do not play pokemon go while driving" warning.

 

I hatched an egg this morning where I opened my list of pokemon & the one I hatched was actually already in there before the whole "Oh?..." thing even happened!!! It was a Staryu and I'd gotten rid of my last one an hour before the hatch so it was a weird glitch!

 

I had that happen with the first Rhyhorn I ever got. Also, yesterday I had a 5K egg started at the exact halfway point of my 10k egg. The 5K egg hatched a good mile or so before 10k. No idea how that would happen, but I've learned to accept that nothing will ever work properly with this game haha.

 

I have the best route that I drive at night to hit pokestops. With my peripheral vision, I've perfected the tap, swipe, swipe, swipe, tap. I never worry about balls. I'll pull over at locations where there's two lures going on and I can stay in my car and get both.

 

From what I've seen on Reddit, it seems to refresh your location every 60 seconds, because of it all being based on GPS tracking.

This morning, I was at 4.93/5km for 3 eggs. I had to go to work, but as soon as I started my car, they all hatched.

 

Powered up my Hypno, so I finally broke the 1000cp barrier.

Also caught Slopoke, Mankey, and Ryhorn for the first time this morning.

 

Hatched a Bellsprout with >600 combat power today. Kind of cool because it's going to evolve into a really strong Victrebell but I just evolved a weaker Bellsprout yesterday and that one was still pretty strong (450 CP).

Wasn't shit at the park today but I caught another Electabuzz because I decided to collect them while they're all over the place.
