walked over to the mall on my lunch and sat between 3 lured stops. went from 80/60 poke/great balls to pretty much zilch on both but was catching some the whole time

caught a 800 hitmonlee on my walk back to work so it was an overall success.

 

Glorious start to the month.

 

I go to 4-5 gyms like around midnight and either add pokemon or take it over. I collect my coins around 1am then call it a night. Time is important. I'll also quit and move on if there's another car fighting with me. No point in going back and forth.

 

yeah, i usually wake up around 6am and grab the 2 gyms close to me real quick, then collect. timing is essential. otherwise i'm holding the gym for 10 minutes any other time of day

There has to be an Electabuzz nest at the park I workout at because they have been everywhere the last couple of days. I caught five of them because I always played Pokemon Blue & Yellow and never got to catch/use Electabuzz.

Went to the golf course in my neighborhood to see if there was anything lurking and it was pretty empty.

 

I was out hunting today but I ran out of pokeballs and of course at that moment a Rhyhorn and Hypno pop up. And then when I found a pokestop there was a Charmander right next to it. Spent like 25 minutes there trying to catch it while getting pokeballs from the stop every 5 minutes. Every time it broke free until it eventually left. On the bright side I did get a Scyther and a Grimer, lots of Tentacools, and plenty of other good stuff.

 

At that point, wouldn't spending $1 on Pokéballs been helpful?

I know people are pretty largely against paying for this game, but in a situation like that I can't see why not.

I can't catch anything with cp between like 25 and 250. I easily caught 3 pokemon tonight, all with cp over 400, with a razz and 1 great ball each. I found a 130 Snorlax around the block from my house and that fucker ran away after breaking out of 3 great balls.

I beat 2 gyms tonight and one of my pokemon is still in one! I didn't realize you collect the bonus once per 20 hours, or whatever, so I collected quickly after the first gym and missed out on the second one.

Does the pokemon have to be 100% "dead" to be returned from a gym? I had a Flareon returned to me from a gym and it didn't need to be revived.

 

you only need revives for when you fight the gym yourself, i believe

 

That's weird. Logically if it didn't need to be revived then it should still have some hp left and should still be able to defend the gym? The health bar looked empty but it wasn't showing up when I tried to use a revive.

 

yeah they return at 1 hp. i dont think it's a logic thing, i think they're likely just giving you a break so you don't have to waste more revives.

 

pfffft but i have so many revives and potions. i always have to discard them to make room for balls

 

had a clefairy, charmander, and dratini all run from me today :( but I caught a pikachu outside my house, a park near me changed to a bulbasaur/ponyta spawn point, and I hatched a hitmonlee, so pretty good day overall.

 

In my experience there is no pokemon harder to catch than Weedle. I have wasted more pokeballs on those irrelevant little shites than any other!!!

The office I'm working at today is also a pokestop but i'm 3 lures in and it's been a fucking blowout - best thing i've seen is a 300cp Seeking

It took about 30 great balls but I was able to catch a Blastoise last night. Too bad it's only 450 CP

 

So I go to this nearby gym just now that has a Wigglytuff & a Gyarados defending it. I get the Wigglytuff down to zero HP, yet it doesn't go down for about 30seconds. In that time, I lose a pokemon as soon as the HP hits zero. Onto the gyarados - it hits me hard & my snorlax goes down to zero, then my Jolteon goes down to zero real quick too. Then, my fucking Snorlax comes back out?!?!?! He already has zero HP, takes one hit & he's down again. I get the Gyarados down to zero HP with my next pokemon, yet he's still going. Then I run out of time...

WHAT? Am I missing something here?

 

no, they broke the gym battles. i had the one hp glitch happen to me like six times the other day.

 

Walked outside my front door, saw a Dragonite nearby — in the top nearby spot — but couldn't find him!

 

Saw a Wartortle on my street on my nearby screen and scoffed at it since my street normally has nothing and it was likely just an error. Walked to the end of my street and caught one!

 

I haven't played in like 3 days because everytime I try to catch something it runs. I'm level 19 and I haven't been able to catch anything. So I'm done until they get this issue under control. Where's the incentive to level up, if it's just going to make catching weedles and pidgeys impossible to catch.

 

I'm still confused about how you get coins. Do you need to hold guns for 20 straight hours or just 20 total hours?
