Yelp now has a filter for Pokestops. This is awesome.

 

I had an Alakazaam in my sights today but had no pokeballs. I panicked and bought $1's worth and by the time I came back it was GONE and I was LIVID.

 

saw a kadabra but my app glitched :///

 

Ugh, no Pokestops have been showing up for me all day. This is so fucking annoying.

 

I got home last night and checked my app. I had an Abra, Horsea, Eevee, Spearow and Weedle all at the end of my driveway. Doesn't sound too impressive, but my house sits right when you get out to the country. There are some houses around us, but typically there is just one or two Pokemon at my neighbors house and that's it on the entire road. I guess they must just spawn right here every once in a while.

 

I snagged an 800 Magmar yesterday right by Doak

The nest shift update also apparently reduced a lot of attack powers for multiple Pokemon.

 

What's the strongest move you guys have? I have two Parasects with 120 Solar Beam.

 

Magmar with a 100 Fire Blast.

 

Ratticate with 120 Hyper Beam.

 

Went to the park and it was fine for the most part (and we apparently have Electabuzz there now) but the Pokestops by my house are either gone or blank when I click on them.

 

Current rumor in the Knoxville pokemon go facebook group (the fact this is a thing, let alone with almost 4000 members still makes me smile) is that this is because you have the Pokevision app installed on your phone. Not sure if that's true or not, though. Or if you even do. But it's happened to a few people in that group.

 

There is about a 0% chance Niantic is capable of knowing what other apps you have on your phone

And if they did its proooobably some kind of App Store violation

 

I've used Pokevision on my phone, but through Safari so I don't think that's the problem.

 

With this game, isn't it just easy enough to assume it's a server error? I've had multiple times this week where the app "worked" but in spots where there should be ten Pokestops, there were none. I could see how if you were in a spot where there were only one or two and they were gone that you would think they just got removed. The rest of the app seems like it's working at the time.

 

Exeggutor with 120 Solar Beam

 

So I now have enough candies to evolve a Magikarp, but I've heard that the evolution multiplier for them is about 10.5x, so I don't really want to use them on my current highest CP Magikarp which is about 140 right now. I kind of wanted to wait till I have a 200+ CP Magikarp. I'm level 21 right now. Does anyone know if it's possible to encounter any with that high CP at level 21?

 

Highest I've seen is 112, @oncenowagain. I'm level 20. Maybe just catch and power up to see if you can get to 200 that way while looking?

I wanted to do that but all my Magikarp are pretty much capped at their current CP when I catch them (anywhere from 120 to 140). That's why I'm wondering if it's even possible for me to have a 200 CP one.

 

I'm level 25. I caught a level 169 Magikarp at Level 24, which is the highest I've seen.

 

Have you been able to evolve it?

 

Evolved to 1759 CP. I evolved a 142 to 1551 or so.

 

And once again, getting the "no Pokestops or Pokemon" glitch now that I'm not at home and am out on a trail with my bike. This game seriously never wants me to actually play when I have the opportunity.
