I ran out of time on my last lucky egg before doing all my evolutions, maybe got 30 in but still had a bunch of ratatata left. That animation just drains the time.

 

This gained me 40,340 XP whatwhat

 

Eevee out of my 10km egg today. Dang.

 

I got a Zubat out of a 10k egg

 

Errr, nope? My issue was me going out of my way to walk 5km to hatch the disappointing eggs. I'm quitting doing that (going out for walks purely to play the game), not the game in general. There is no incentive because my area and my experience varies wildly from yours it seems. At level 21 I'm still seeing the same caliber pokemon at level 1 - not good enough. Purchasing incense only for it to bring up more cp10 pidgeys and ratatta's wherever I go in town is annoying. I'll check for & catch ones I haven't seen yet, but cba to catch loads of the ones I already have anymore. Sorry if that's me "rage-quitting"

Edit: and I still think this is the best & most innovative mobile game of all-time, despite its many flaws

 

Pretty happy I hatched a Pikachu.

 

This is the bit for me, I'm only level 15 but seeing a pidgey and rattata come up 90% of the time is pretty dull. It probably doesn't help I love in a dull British town with a population of just 100k. In the cities it seems far more interesting when I've visited.

 

if you go for a walk to hatch eggs, try not to re-cover your steps or walk in too small a circle. apparently the way the mechanic works is that it records your location every minute and then calculates the distance from the prior point. obviously if you end up covering the same ground in a short span, you're cheating yourself a bit of distance each time.

 

Same, so that probably is the reason why. 99% of pokemon I encounter are one of the following 6 - Pidgey, Ratatta, Weedle, Spearow, Zubat, Drowzee. I'd even be ok if those 6 were 75% of what I saw, but I can go a whole day with just those 6 and maybe a ghastly or Eevee sighting

 

Most of what pop up near me are Doduo, so sick of them lol

 

Yea, the game is definitely more fun for those who live near the heavily populated areas and have the time to play. Even at the best spot in my town, the variance in Pokemon is slim. Without pokevision id never find anything worth it.

The leveling up is pretty rough too. I find it frustrating that whatever I catch and power up, I'll just always find a stronger cp one once I'm up 5 more levels. You can't even compete in the gym life until you have a +1000cp Pokemon, and that doesn't happen until lvl 16-20. That's a lot of grind!

They need to add trading, 1on1 battles, and more Pokemon. Every generation has its pidgeys and rattatas, so when they add these there will be more commons to catch than what we're given.

 

I caught an 808CP Scyther on the way home today. That was cool.

 

I caught a Vulpix today at work, so I'm pretty happy.

 

I've hatched three 10k eggs thus far, got a chansey and two onix. My only problem with them is that all three were in the 200s... Like shouldn't they be stronger at this point? I'm level 17

Yeah I have to drive like 10-15 minutes to get to a place that has more than one Pokestop lol so wasting 15 balls on three low-level Pokemon trying to get more evolves/stardust/candy is a real pain. I don't have enough time to go drive around for a couple of hours every night to catch a handful of Pokemon. I only catch probably one a day at my house and at work.

Makes it way more of a pain in the ass when the game doesn't load as I'm at the park going for a run. Time is of the essence.

 

chansey have low cp by design, theyre not strong attackers. they have really high hp though.

onix also weirdly have a very low attack. bellsprout actually have a higher base attack stat, prolly an oversight from the original games.

 

Meowth just popped up near me. Saw the sprite on screen, clicked it, caught it, and when it showed the final caught screen with the stats and stuff, it was a Bellsprout and I checked my Pokemon list and it actually was not a Meowth.

 

LOL. Fair enough. I just caught my 2nd yesterday along with the 4 I've evolved. I've got everyone in this thread when they open trading!

 

Boy, at least it was a Meowth and not a Dragonite or something. I really would rage-quit in that scenario.

 

I seen and caught two Dratinis, and seen and caught one Dragonair - they were all very random.

 

Would be sweet if, when they open trading, it works like a stock market in some way.

Like, you can only trade during certain hours of the day, and all the pokemon put on market for sale have a price given their level of scarcity and CP. Haha. Just thinking out loud, but I would find that amusing.

 

I wonder if rare Pokemon will be even more rare once trading starts. I feel like I'll be over the game really fast if trading opens and I get all the missing ones relatively quickly.

 

Read online that Porygon and Kabuto are pretty rare so far in the game so I'm gonna go ahead and not complain about my hatches.
