0/2 on Regirocks today (that thing is a real pain in the arse to catch), but I got a Spinda so that's something.

 

Shout out to the eight people who abandoned the Regirock raid I tried so i soloed it

 

I really don't like the new pan in encounter thing

 

It's not cool, but more importantly, it's ridiculous that you can't disable it.

 

my understanding is the pan-in thing is a bug. iOS has been able to trigger it for months and disable it by disabling AR+.

partner is super hooked! we drove around and did gyms and raids this weekend. she picked mystic though and i am valor so i'm deeply offended and repulsed.

v excited for Celebi quests and new research and all that jazz. they still haven't pushed the update on iOS though!!

 

also, Poke Genie updated this morning with Gen 4 stuff. did i miss a leak?

 

I wonder if it’s Deoxys and the other ~15 or so Gen 4 that Chrales found in the code a few weeks ago

And yeah they need to go ahead and release the update on iOS/force it today so I can stop having to worry about the stupid berry bug. It has been impeding my fast catching which is really annoying.

 

I noticed this too and thought the same. Maybe they're just jumping the gun?

 

I wonder if we will finally be able to catch second evolution Gen 3 Pokémon in the wild with this coming Johto event.

 

looking into it a little further, i guess PoGo uses a pretty steadfast conversion method when it comes to translating stats from the main series over to Go, so we can basically already determine what gen iv is gonna look like stats wise. maybe it was just stuff like that

 

I have realised that the trick with Regirock is to throw the ball at the end of its punch. Unfortunately I realised this when I only had 4 balls left. So I am still 0/4.

 

I've usually been able to do one raid a day, or every other day, for almost all legendaries excluding days I was traveling or busy with both jobs. But, still easily getting about 10 of each per month. The Regis have been the lowest for me because nobody in our Slack group really cares for them. I personally don't either, but i'm lvl 39 and need all the XP I can get. It's weird to only have 1 Regirock atm for me.

 

Honestly, the only time I get more than 1 or 2 of a legendary is during the summer. It's nearly impossible for me to find the time when I'm teaching. But, this summer I've been having a hard time finding people raiding for any of the regi trio. I do kind of get it though. Out of all the main legendary Pokemon from each generation so far this has got to be the most boring group. I'm still yet to even attempt a Regirock raid and in my group chat they are already pretty much done raiding them. This might be one of the first legendary's in a while that I don't get one until they are released as the 7 day reward.

 

I don’t really understand not wanting to do a legendary raid, regardless of what it is. You still have a good chance of getting rare candy which is a major commodity.

 

for me, i really have taken a liking to lower tier raids. the chance of a shiny Mawile/Absol or a high IV Kirlia is just more enticing to me. still get decent items that way too.

 

Yeah I’ll do raids for the chance of a shiny but it still doesn’t beat the rewards for a level 5 raid. I don’t think you can even get rare candies or tm’s from a level 2, can you? Or perhaps you can but it’s a lot less likely.

 

You get a certain number of chances at each item for each tier, if that makes sense. I've definitely got rare candies off level 1s before but they're rare.
