at comic con there was some news that came out about pokemongo. first, the eevee easter egg is confirmed, also confirmed that there are a ton of other easter eggs undiscovered. trading is a definite but no release date yet. poaching gyms will be worked on. the team leaders were identified and named:
Mystic - Blanche
Valor - Candela
Instinct - Spark
apparently, they are going to be incorporated into the game in some way soon. also, there was talk of about being able to customize a pokestop as a pokecenter. not sure if I'm leaving anything out but thought I'd mention it since I haven't seen anyone mention it!

 

Any clues on the other easter eggs? Is there a shortcut to the Magikarp evolution besides living in Santa Monica, CA and just catching Gyrados on your daily walk along the peer?

playing at Comic con was pretty fun, I wish I would have more free time to do so but I was working so much that I couldn't One of the booths (welovefine) was actually a pokestop which was crazy (maybe they registered through special channels or something?). I got a lot of water pokemon I didn't have before, found some nice hotspots, and my hotel was a pokestop. Overall a pretty good time, but only got a few hours from it overall

 

I love this game. On my stroll through the park with my dog, I came across four teenagers warguing and battling it out for this gym with some pretty weak Pokemon. I walked by at the perfect time to snag the gym as it was unclaimed. About 10 seconds later, I hear all of them erupt like "WHAT THE HELL?!?"

 

And the crowd goes "boo"

 

Another championship for Cleveland

 

They haven't said anything but I imagine when they get introduced it will have something to do with the team you're on. Mystic players will have the chance to catch Articuno, Valor with Moltres, and Instinct with Zapdos.

 

Can't get in but apparently the servers are up?

 

I left those out, will probably be released in a fun way relating to the teams.

 

Accidentally transferred my pimped out Drowzee when I was doing mass evolutions...... There goes 2000 XP. I'm crying.

 

For whatever reason, everything I tried to catch tonight either ran away or took 20 poke balls to catch. I think I used 15 great balls on a scyther

 

A Hitmonchan spawned at dinner. I freaked out. So glad I caught it.

 

Had a Nidoking run away from me just now. Granted he was only at 310CP, but I still would have liked to fill out that Pokedex entry. Bastard ass dinosaur.

 

Pokevision got me a Charmander tonight. First one I've seen.

 

Poke vision told me there was a ratata on my street but there wasn't. That's the only time I tried to use it.

Three nights in a row in the exact same spot something rare has spawned by me in Fenway in Boston.

 

i swear the longer i am going during a pokemon catching session, the rarer pokemon i encounter. i know that its probably just cause i'm covering lots of ground, but does anyone else feel like theres some sort of algorithm that correlates session time with encounters?

 

I'm pretty sure the same pokemon spawn for everyone? so there shouldn't be any correlation with how long you walk
